This hotel is in terrible hygienic conditions, there are cockroaches everywhere, stains on the linen and the smell throughout the hotel is unbearable. It will be ready for demolition at any time. I tried to get my money back and they didn't, they have no cancellation policy.

Also, we do offer free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival however there is a fee to cancel after that time. Sir you have stayed with us at American Inn a multitude of times and have never gave us a negative review prior to this reservation. However you never checked in for this reservation and per policy you were still responsible for the cost of one night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Unfortunately this was the only hotel available for us. The room had a funny smell when we first walked in and not even 30 minutes after we got in there were roaches crawling. The floors in the room had not been swept or cleaned. The countertops were dirty. The smoke alarm started going off in the hotel at 1:30am while we were trying to sleep in already unnerving conditions… however the staff was really nice and apologized for all of this. They seemed like they would already expect this kind of review. This room was not worth the money we spent for 2 nights but it was our only option.

This place is absolutely disgusting and my family refused to sleep there! There were cigarette burns on both beds/comforters, cobwebs, blood on blankets, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in no telling how long! This place would be the spot if you were looking for a place to take a hooker!!

You get what you pay for. It's am older hotel with a mix of updates and older fixtures. The staff were courteous and helpful. My room was clean and had an odd cleaner smell but not bad. The internet worked perfectly. It met my criteria and that's enough for me. Btw, the faucet in the bathroom leaks pretty bad. It needs new rubber bushings but replacing it makes more sense.

I purchased our stay thru Hotels.com so, exhausted & at 11pm, waiting 30 minutes to get a key was VERY disheartening! I didn’t realize it was a smoking motel. Being put on the 1st floor (nonsmoking) turned out ok. Both bedspreads(?) were full of holes from burn marks & the sheets had some spots on them. All the pillow cases looked as if they’d already been slept on. Breakfast was juice, coffee, white bread, a few mini muffins, & a waffle maker. Perhaps that makes some people happy but it was the worst continental breakfast I’ve experienced. If you have very low expectations, stay there. Otherwise, find somewhere else to stay!

The vending machine for cold drinks did not accept money. Front desk clerk had to open it so you can get a drink out. THe snack machine was practically empty - not alot of choices available.

They staff is very friendly and polite. They rates are excellent for us travel workers and they serve breakfast. The only thing is they don't have a elevator and they don't have luggage carts.

I booked this stay for my employees on an out of town job and they informed us that the hotel was dirty with bugs. The hotel was non refundable but the employees ended up getting a room at a different hotel.

Please be aware that your employees were smoking marijuana in their rooms (marijuana is illegal in the state of Alabama and it's use is not permitted on our property) and only after staff had approached them about this, is when they came to the front desk requesting another room claiming they had killed roaches in their room. Their request was granted and they were moved to another room and stated that they were satisfied with that room. Apologies again for their inconvenience. Have a wonderful day.

concerned about safety, the rear motel entrance door,where we parked,was always unlocked. Usually 2-6 guys were hanging out in the rear parking lot. Maybe they were on break? But uncomfortable walking into building.

The room had food on the floor when we got there. There was a terrble smoky odor. The sheets and comforters had cigarette burn holes and the towels were stained and rippped.We were given a 3rd floor room and there was no elevator. Very disappointed for a Wyndam property. If there were othe hotels available we would have moved. So fisappointed.

Chose this hotel based on price alone -- site said "recently remodeled rooms" and that was true. Unfortunately workmanship was shoddy -- bad paint, stains, grout with a curious pink shade, toilet seat peeling apart, bare wire hanging from ceiling (fire detector missing?) and la cucarachas. In the hallways, nasty carpet and rooms curiously blocked open and banging late into the night. In short -- I would not recommend staying here.

This property reeked like a marijuana hotel. The rooms were horrible smelling and the electrical in the rooms were aweful. If you walked anywhere the lights would flicker. The room smelt like 10 people were chain smoking all day with every point of air is blocked off. All in all aweful and disgusting place.

First off very dirty, parking lot and hall way to the room and the room was dirty. There was a dead cockroach in the room, The room was dusty. The room was a nonsmoking room but the sheets and blankets had holes in them that appeared to be cigarette burns. The pillows very uncomfortable. The wi-fi was good cable tv was good and the breakfast was not bad.

Horrible place
The worst stay ever. They messed up the reservation then tried to hit me with a fee I knew nothing about. The bed was awful and blankets had cigarette holes in them for a non-smoking room. Then I was accused of taking towels when I asked for some because housekeeping came in and failed to leave any. I had the air on when I left the first time and it was turned off when I came back. I wanted a cool room NOT a hot room. The front staff was on her phone arguing with someone and wouldn’t get off to help me. It was a horrible stay!!

Horrible smell and extremely loud, even in the middle of the night and wee hours of the morning. Comforters had burn holes, bathroom doorknob was partially missing and the clock didn’t work. No coffee machine. We noticed that the car parked beside us was broken in to when we left the following morning which caused additional concern. Uncomfortable experience in general.

There is fresh coffee available 24 hours in the lobby, as we do not have coffee pots in the rooms.
