Room was dirty, service was poor, everything seemed a chore to the staff. The rooms are old and the facilities in the hotel are scarce

Good to some extent
Overall is good; however, it would have been better, if they had provided us with child bed as requested online and through the front desk several time. I don’t want to say careless team, but they might be busy or so. The room service was so poor as we are family of four members and they provide us with only one towel, toothbrush, etc.. The room itself was so dusty when we entered first time then later they cleaned well.

I had bad experience with them service very bad condition of room as 2 or 3 star not 5 star towels not clean and not enough room service terrible staff of room service staff not under stand or they are not care for my order seferal tomes not one time housekeeping also bad no enough towels and not welling to work I had to ask many times for them to come to clean abd tidy my room I will never repeat staying in this hotel or any One in their chain

I do not usually give negative feedback but my stay at this hotel was absolutely horrible. I wouldnt cosider this a 5 star hotel at all. The furniture was old and the condition was really bad. The hotel floors were full of dust. The room was smelly and dusty. The toilet was full of fungus and black spots.

That was the worst in terms of services. Wifi was terrible unable to open my emails or even normal things like Facebook. When asking reception they just told we know we cannot do anything, we are suffering as you.

Expensive and cold food.
My go to hotel when working in Khobar but not anymore. The check in staff were polite but so slow. I always request a non smoking quiet room... So was annoyed to get to room opposite the lifts and next to screaming family... And stunk of smoke. The room was changed but I should not have been given it in first place. This was probably my 12th stay... Dinner.. Expensive and buffet style. Very cold food. When I complained the waiter turned up the burners and I was told it was me who felt cold so I felt the food was cold... What! Check out was as always very very slow and considering I was the only person there, there was no excuse. Very disappointed and won't be returning.

It is a nice sea view hotel in a very quiet area. Therefore, it is a good place to rest and the hotel is close to my regional office.

Mercure - needs improvement
Hotel is looking in need of a refurbishment, carpets & furniture getting worn. My room didn't get cleaned after my first night - it took over an hour for the hotel to decide I did have a reservation and finally cleaned the room. Not great after a long day and an early start the next morning.

Mercure in Al Khobar
The hotel has a good range of facilities, with comfortable beds. I was upgraded to a suite at the hotel which was well equipped. The furniture is starting to look a little tired. The room service offered a good range of food and service was pretty quick.

Clean and conveniently located near the Corniche and waterfront for the price. If I ever make it back to Saudi Arabia in the future, I would book here again.

The hotel is average in terms of quality and appearance.. the unit i booked was not available upon my arrival so they offered to replace my booking with a room and a jr suite.. the coffee we ordered to the room was cold and sugar was added when we requested that no sugar must be added to the coffee.. no valet person standing outside to park our vehicle..

Breakfast was EXCELLENT! Mercury is Great overall: To be excellent overall, much more lighting is needed in the sofa room, toilet should not be so close to sink counter that one must sit sideways & temp should be able to lower to prevent sweating through the night when under the provided bed linen.

No hot water, not a proper air conditioned facility in winter. Clean as in bed and toilet but have missed clearing out ex guest trash can. In a nice area with nothing special.

Very Nice
Nice hotel with good staff. Only internet is slow during the day may be because many people are using. Plus the electricity plugs can be arranged better. Also the air pump in the bathroom works 24 hours but the door is keeping the sound inside.

was very good , front office stuff very friendly , room is neat and clean , restaurant at 10th floor is good with great view . only negative was the WiFi was not that good
