The hotel gave us the incorrect room. Finally, when we received another room with seperate beds, it was extremely dirty and cold. There was visible dirt on the doors and walls. Also it smelt like a dog had been sleeping in the room. The phone was sticky. The bed uncomfortable. The staff were not very helpful until we got angry with them for making us wait 30 mins to answer 1 question. Also, the ad on hotels.com is incorrect. It is not close to the Taj Mahal at all. It’s about 30-40 mins walk away - not 1 min. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

typical backpacker hovel and overpriced.
this is the worst hotel i have stayed in and i have stayed in many. it is dirty, poorly finished, the staff lie and the description of the rooms on hotels.com are lies. if you have to stay here don't bother going to India, you can't afford to be there and you won't enjoy it. pay just a little more and you will enjoy your trip and the Taj Mahal.. the only good thing tbere was the food and the restaurant staff, they deserve better support.

DISGUSTING HOTEL
Very bad hotel. Never stay here. Seriously this hotel smells really bad. You feel like vomiting with the smell. Its a very low budget hotel one of OYO ROOMS.

Comfortable/affordable hotel near Taj Mahal
Pros: close to Taj Mahal; hot water available for showering; nice bellboys and staff; new hotel and facilities; elevator Cons: no shower curtain so water flies everywhere in the bathroom as you shower (seems to be the norm in India)

Generally our stay was pleasant. Rooms were small but clean. Air conditioning was very effective. Wi-Fi was effective. Buffet Breakfast service was good. Overall recommended for stay.

Great location. On south gate side of Taj Mahal
This hotel was in a great location for visiting the Taj Mahal and the facilities were in good condition. The only downside was the friendliness of some of the staff. All in all, not a bad place to stay, and a great price.

Pros - Near to Taj Mahal and food joints and Sadar baza, Complimentary wifi and breakfast was good. Cons - Interior of room is very old,need renovation. The front of hotel is very dirty with open gutters. Service is inconsistent and room utilities are replaced only after calling room service. Phone was not working so had to goto reception to ask for everything. Restaurant and mineral water is highly over charged n expensive, avoid.

Great staff who go out of their way to help. Hotel's about 4 mins walk from main road but not much in the way of thins to do for tourist. Expec to take auto rickshaws.

Bathroom was dirty. Asked it to be cleaned. After 10mins my room smelt of industrial strength cleaning products and bleach. Could not open a window so the smell lingered. Staff were ok.

Hot water needs to be called in. location is out of the way. So if you stay in Agra (which i would not recommend all together) besides seeing the Taj (preferably at sun rise) get something nicer.

Very nice hotel for the price
The hotel was clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean with a nice floor plan. The Resturant food and staff were also very good. I highly recommend this hotel for the price. Located near the entrance to the Taj Mahol.

Quiet location 2km from Taj Mahal
If you look for a quiet location in a good hotel 2 km from the East entrance to Taj Mahal, this is the place. Access along the Eastern road is an easy walk. New hotel provides good service and breakfast all for a reasonable price. Hot water and internet worked well.

A Very Good Budget Hotel !!
The Hotel was clean and nice. The room were of decent size. The Bath room were clean. The only thing I did not liked about the hotel was the food that served at Dinner time.( it was very BAD) though the breakfast was good.

this hotel is very close to the taj mahal, that's why we chose it. we were in 3 people, room was big enough for us and it seems to be a new hotel, quite modern for agra's standards. the roof top bar/restaurant could be better and more inviting...

Nice Hotel with Comfortable and Enjoyable Stay
Very Nice Hotel With Modern rooms and Restaurant , all the amenities in the room was New and Modern , food quality and service was excellent. Rooms were nice and clean , view of taj mahal from the Roof Top Restaurant was great excellent. Breakfast at Basement Restaurant was Very Enjoyable. Overall the stay was good and comfortable. We will definitely recommend this hotel to everybody.

We got warm welcome at Hotel Crystal In upon arrival , nice rooms , friendly staff , food quality & service is excellent. Friendly atmosphere like we are at Home. Roof Top Restaurant was Very Beautiful with view of Taj Mahal and Dinner at Roof Top was very nice experience. Cleaness & hygiene of rooms and all public areas was nice. Overall the stay was Very Comfortable and Enjoyable. We recommend this hotel to everyone.

The lobby looks nice... the rooms don't. Beds were not that comfortable, and they all needed repairs. I switched room 3 times: First room (1st floor) had broken phone, black mold across the wall, and no clothesline. Second room (2nd floor) had no wifi for the entire floor. Third room (3rd floor) I gave up; I had to screw the safe into the wall myself and the bathroom door was broken and glued together with sawdust (very noisy at night and let out the AC)!! Internet firewall blocked skype/internet calls so you had to use their R25/min long distance. For this quality of room I expected to pay about $30/night, maybe $35 max!!

Handy for Taj Mahal.
Clean, modern hotel - and, by Indian standards, in a decent neighbourhood. The area is certainly safe as we walked around well after dark and felt perfectly relaxed. Whilst the hotel is 2km from the Taj Mahal, it is in fact only five minutes walk from the ticket office - and your Taj ticket includes a free transfer to the site as motor vehicles are not allowed within 2km of it, so this hotel is about as close as you can get. There's also a nice, modern shopping mall nearby with a few clean places to eat in.

I had no trouble getting to the local sites from the hotel. There was also a mall nearby, though most of its stores were under construction or closed. The greatest problem I had was with the service. The first night at 9:30 pm I received a call from room service asking me to order dinner. I told them I already ate outside. The next that called again at 10:30 pm, waking me up and again asking me to order dinner. The restaurant accepts the last order at 10:45 so I do not understand why they were calling then. Someone rang the room bell later that night and I didn't answer and they tried to open the door but it was bolted. I think it was hotel staff because it sounded like they unlocked it. I had told the hotel I would be checking out at 4:30 in the morning so it was irritating that this was going on so late. I complained to the reception while I was checking out. The receptionist didn't appologize, but I am not sure he understood me well.

The overall stay was average. The service of the staff is not upto the standard of a 3*** hotel. Very congested rooms and toilets. Cheap toilettries. A very average breakfast without much choice. No Value for money. Probably just recommended for 1 night stay.

This was expensive hotel (specially during off season). It was advertised as 3-star, which makes sense as per the price I paid. I was told, there are two double-beds in the room. Reality was that room was small and it had only one double-bed. They had a twin size mattress on the floor (so called ... second double-bed). TV was not working. Someone looked at it and said, there is some problem in wiring. They couldn't fix it. They offered me to move to another room (smaller than what I had). I decided to stay in same room. The hallway was hot and humid (no A/C in hallway). The hotel location was quite isolated. You wouldn't want to walk around after sunset. Some positive's now. Room was clean, Air condition was working inside the room. Food was good.

Reasonably good hotel but a little too far out
You tend to take a lot of rickshaws in Agra but due to the location, it took longer getting anywhere. That being said, the hotel was fine, clean, rooms of a good size and polite & efficient staff. The bathroom in my room (101) was a little grotty but still passable.

the rooms are small in size(if it matters for you). The bathroom door won't close unless you do some extra power and do the same to open it. Food quality is good however, the overall ambiance of the hotel will make you feel that you paid a little extra.

Close to TajMahal
This hotel is close to TajMahal (around 1.2 miles). Hotel facilities are good. Included breakfast is good too. Staff are decent enough. I stayed with my family of 3 members. With the extra bed, room was crowded but for party of 2 it should be fine. Overall we recommend the hotel to others. Buy the tickets at TajMahal itself.

Great Hotel, but Staff Need More Work
This hotel might be the best in mid-range value in Agra. Rooms are excellent, showers are excellent, internet is good, food is good, and the Taj Mahal view from the roof is real. The only glitch I found was the rather hyperactive staff. I got calls to my room advertising various services. When I ordered room service for dinner, I was interrupted three times by knocks on the door to determine if I was done yet, and at breakfast I was asked if everything was okay what seemed like every few bites. Maybe it was just because I was there in low season?

The hotel should not be recommended to anyone. The rooms are sub standard. We had to change rooms twice and were not satisfied. The only redeeming factor was that the hotel manager was helpful and tried to help us. But, if the rooms are not maintained, it does not help.

Although the staff was not really nice upon check in, the rest of the staff were helpful and efficient. The facilities at the hotel exceed my expectation, such as the LCD TV. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful during breakfast. Our driver tried to stay at the same hotel with discount for driver. However, he could not stand the bugs in the room that have to leave the hotel in the mid night around 1am. Heard there was bugs in the room. But not the one we stayed. Sorry about what the driver has experienced. Believe the hotel have some rooms with bugs which was not well maintained.
