"What a gem! I chose The Tennessean for my first trip to Knoxville to tour UTK with my daughter, and it exceeded every expectation. As a former luxury hotel professional, I can confidently say their standards of service and cleanliness are top-tier. The entire staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, and the property itself is beautiful, immaculate, and loaded with wonderful amenities. We loved using the gym, and taking their golf cart shuttle to dinner one night was an absolute highlight! The location is truly perfect, offering easy walking distance to local shops, sights, restaurants, and the university. With my daughter starting graduate school at UTK, I’ve officially found my permanent lodging for all future visits."

"Twice I have stayed at this hotel and both times the AC has made noises throughout the night that has made it difficult to sleep. This time everytime it would cut on there was a loud falling noise of something loose inside. Having checked in later at night and traveling with kids once I realized the issue I decided not to bring it to the attention of the front desk."

"Check in (and out) was efficient and pleasant with Ronnie. The rooftop pool & bar/lounge is a beautiful space with nearly 360 degree view of the city. Our only suggestion, please provide a bit more shade options because it got HOT late afternoons. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. Made to order omelettes, hot eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, grits, waffles, oatmeal, assorted breads and pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit. And lots of room to sit and enjoy it on the Mezzanine. The city feels safe and clean, and from the hotel we were easily able to walk Market Square for drinks and dinner and to enjoy the park with live music on a Tuesday night, to the World’s Fair Exhibit & Sunsphere; and to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame and the Tennessee History Center. If you have time, take advantage of the Tennessee Riverboat sightseeing tour."
