"Very well named, not deserving of it! When you see “Astoria” don’t get exited. A very old property (last remodel dates back to the 90’s or longer) by main gate. Breakfast not worth it. The problem is they don’t comprehend English! If you don’t like smoking this is the wrong country to visit! Kudos to Best Service from Vasily and the young girl at Front Desk!"

"The Avala location was perfect! Beach, stunning pool and right next to old city. The hotel facilities were great and rooms had amazing views of the sea and old city. The Staff were exceptional! The Conceirge took care of car service, restaurant reservations and wonderful beach recommendations, he was terrific and made the stay perfect. The beach waiter service and spa staff were also very pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend the Avala and would definitely stay here again!"

Breakfasts were delicious. A special shout-out to Bato—his outstanding service and warm, friendly attitude made our stay truly memorable. Just a note about parking: the hotel doesn’t have its own, but there is public parking right next door."

"The hotel is well situated.. rooms need sorting out.. wardrobe is unfinished inside and little hanging space.. seems unfinished. Rooms are a good size and clean and bathroom adequate although we flooded the bathroom when we had a shower.. drainage needs sorting. "This truly is a fantastic hotel. The attention detail, hotel design, room design truly is special. The staff are very helpful, especially Marko. He was great at giving us advice on where to visit, restaurants to eat at etc. He really went above and beyond to make sure our trip was planned perfectly. The room was immaculately clean. And the shower was possibly the best I have ever used. The food on offer at the hotel was truly incredible. Super tasty and very well priced. The swimming pool area is a true sun trap and offers some lovely views of the mountains and the sea. The only downside (which I guess the hotel can’t control) is that the road immediately outside the hotel is rather busy and can be loud. The area the hotel is situated is still under a lot of change, but so too is Budva. It feels like a still developing part of the coastline and so expect lots of construction. We also had a few issues with our air con but the hotel staff went a long way to attempt to fix it. Also the parking is about 5 mins away. Although it is manned during the day you are leaving your car unattended essentially in a secluded spot over night. Overall a fantastic stay and would recommend in the future."

"Clean room. We booked sea view but as we were on the first floor, had no view at all. Breakfast was good . Pool is a covered pool with Finnish sauna and steam room. No lockers or separate bathroom for ladies and gents . Location: excellent- 5 mins walk to the beach. Area appeared to be safe The staff were polite and courteous Airport shuttle provided at a cost "
