Nusa Dua

This tourism estate has luxury seaside resorts, sweeping beaches, great surf and restaurants, shops and museums all within a gated community.

Nusa Dua is a purpose built tourism complex in southeast Bali. The gated community offers luxury seaside resorts, sandy beaches and water activities, and is famed for its surfing.

Palm trees and manicured lawns surround international resorts. Choose from high-end villas to budget-friendly family accommodation. Many of the resorts offer all-inclusive packages, so shop around for the best price. Relax in a spa, enjoy a Balinese massage, or swim in Olympic-sized swimming pools. In the evening, choose from a range of dining experiences and see a traditional Balinese dance performance at one of the resort-run restaurants.

Hit the seaside for water activities and relaxation. There are three different beaches to choose from, each offering a range of activities. Take an early morning walk along the beach promenade and see the sunrise. Watch the seaweed farmers harvest plants on Geger Beach while relaxing beneath the coconut trees. Take the kids to Nusa Dua Beach, a great spot for swimming and snorkeling. Go scuba diving, spot dolphins, take a ride on a glass-bottomed boat, or ride on a jet ski or sailboat. Tours and equipment rentals can be organized through the resorts. Many of the resorts have a beachfront that is serviced, so you have access to water and towels throughout the day.

Nusa Dua is famous for its surfing. With an offshore coral reef, the surf here is great for both beginners and the experienced. Take lessons or rent a board.

For those who prefer to stay on land, the Bali Golf and Country Club has an 18-hole green with views of the ocean. For a glimpse into Bali’s arts culture, visit the Pasifika Museum, where you can view art works by Matisse, Gauguin, and Theo Meier. Go shopping at the Bali Collection shopping center, which has a mix of beachwear and high-end fashion stores.

Nusa Dua is a government supported complex with 24-hour security. It’s a 20-minute drive from Denpasar airport. Most resorts offer airport transfers. Once there, get around on foot or by golf carts supplied by resorts.
