Double Six Beach

For a relaxing break from everyday life or an energetic, activity-filled experience, this white sandy beach along the Seminyak waterfront is the perfect place to go.

Double Six Beach is a beautiful sandy beach located on the west coast of Bali. It is a more peaceful spot than many of the other beaches in the surrounding area, particularly during the daytime, making it perfect for relaxation. If you visit early in the morning, you will almost certainly be able to enjoy the beach in peace. Lie back and relax on a sun lounger or indulge in a Balinese massage while listening to the sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore. Later on in the day, enjoy a delicious fruity cocktail or a beer while gazing out over the Bali Sea. Make sure you sample Indonesia’s own bestselling brand of beer, Bintang.

Those in search of a more lively and active experience won’t be disappointed. Rent a horse, saddle up and enjoy a horse ride along the beach, taking in the picturesque scenery at the same time. Or hire a surfboard and take a surfing lesson—the sandy bottom and waves at Double Six Beach are particularly suitable for beginners. There are plenty of other water and beach activities on offer too, including swimming, snorkelling, football and volleyball.

After a relaxing or energetic day on the beach, make sure you set aside some time to watch the magnificent Balinese sunset. At this time of day, the bars, restaurants and clubs nearby start to get busy. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and have a refreshing drink and some tasty food in one of the beachfront establishments.

Double Six Beach is situated in the village of Seminyak at the end of Jalan Double Six, a road which runs perpendicular to the beach and connects it to the village’s main thoroughfare, Jalan Raya Seminyak. This Balinese village is known for its excellent restaurants, resorts, spas and shopping centres, so there are plenty of options away from the beach.

The beach is 30 minutes by car from Ngurah Rai International Airport, which is located near the capital of Bali, Denpasar. It is also only a 15-minute drive from the well-known Balinese tourist destination of Kuta.
