Unfortunately they have a really terrible football team.
Generally Sunderland was clean and tidy, very little graffiti, a real sense of civic pride. There are areas not so attractive,, shops with roller shutters (implies crime), but overall a good impression. Traffic after a match does gridlock the city!
Some really nice green spaces.
Went to be at seaside for a relaxing break, spoilt by the Apartment and the awful weather.
frienly people. The art work of Tommy the solldier is breathtakung. Bradley Gardens for lunch, fqntastic/ The glass blowing shop, fantastic.
