A popular weekend getaway for Recife locals, Ipojuca has some of the most stunning and pristine beaches in Brazil. Indulge in such water sports as canoeing and boating at the Maracaípe Beach, where a river meets the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the stunning vista of a mangrove and the river delta at Maracaípe Point.
Among the main beaches in the region is Cupé Beach, which is 2.8 miles (4.5 kilometers) long. Unwind in the shade of a palm tree and swim in the natural pools of water. Look down at the fish swimming around your feet in the transparent ocean.
Natural pools can also be found at Muro Alto Beach, which is known for its immense network of coral reefs. Go scuba diving around the shipwrecks off Serrambi Beach.

You can find the city in the state of Pernambuco in the northeastern pocket of Brazil. Fly to the Recife International Airport and drive south for 45 miles (72 kilometers) to arrive here in roughly 90 minutes. Get around the small town center on foot and reach the beaches via tour operators, taxis and coaches.
