Mt. Luho

Ascend to the highest peak on Boracay Island for excellent views of the beaches and dense forests that decorate the undulating terrain.

Mt. Luho is a tall rock formation with a viewing deck offering panoramas of the entire island. A stunning golf course and many white-sand beaches make up the excellent views from the summit’s platform. Clamber up the rocky path to appreciate the vistas at the varying altitudes of this mountain.

Follow the meandering trails up the mountain. Enjoy interesting variations in the exotic vegetation and animals. Macaques are known to approach walkers on this path. Take care of your belongings in the presence of these seemingly playful but quite cunning monkeys, which are common in this part of South Asia.

Rent a mountain bike for a strenuous ascent followed by a fun and easy descent, as you roll down the paths of the rock formation. The trail is not too arduous and has simple paths and a bamboo bridge to make it simpler. Enjoy the cool breeze at higher elevations.

Reach the elegant wooden viewing platform and appreciate the impressive view of the island. The mountain peak is about 330 feet (100 meters) above sea level. Spot some of your favorite landmarks on Boracay Island, such as Bulabog Beach and Puka Beach. Sunrise is the quietest part of the day to reach the peak. At the end of a full day, relax on a hammock here with a friend and watch the setting sun turn the sky crimson.

Pay a small maintenance fee to a guard to access the viewing deck. Bring sufficient water and snacks to enjoy during the walk and on the peak’s platform.

Mt. Luho is just south of Ilig-Iligan Beach and Lapuz Lapuz Beach in the northeastern part of the island. Make your way to Barangay Bulabog and use a motorcycle or trek up the winding trails to the top of the mountain. Visit nearby spots, such as Bulabog Beach, Station 1 and Diniwid Beach.
