Jumeira Beach and Park

Dubai's original beach park overlooks the Persian Gulf and is a beautiful setting in which to swim, sunbathe, play with the children or just sit back and relax.

Jumeirah Beach Park was first opened in 1989, tucked away between the glistening waters of the Persian Gulf and Jumeirah Beach Road. Covering an expansive 12 hectares of landscaped walkways and beautiful white sandy beaches, the beach park has a lot to offer, from designated children's play areas and volleyball courts, to barbecue facilities and picnic tables. Wide-open spaces of luscious green grass allow children to run around or older kids to play ball.A favourite destination for many, the beach is one of the park's most popular areas. A seemingly endless stretch of white sand sparkles in the sunlight with the blue waters of the Persian Gulf lapping at the shoreline. You will never have any trouble finding a secluded spot here despite its popularity, as the beach can accommodate many visitors at a time. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas for a more relaxing experience and rest safe in the knowledge that there are lifeguards on duty.Wooden steps take you from the beach to the cultivated gardens of the park where you can stroll along the walkways and take in the magnificent scenery and plant life around you. Landscaped greenery and rock gardens sit pleasantly beside the natural desert flora.Feeling peckish? Jumeirah Beach Park has plenty of picnic tables and barbecue areas if you want to bring your own food. If not, why not treat yourself to some casual refreshments at one of the many food stands or the park's café? Live musical performances are held in the amphitheatre from time to time, so you can sit back and enjoy the entertainment. The beach park is situated on Jumeirah Beach Road beside the Hilton Club.
