The Dubai Fountain

This sensationally choreographed, free illuminated fountain show set to a musical backdrop attracts people from far and wide to witness a stunning performance.

The Dubai Fountain was designed by the creators of the world-renowned water and light show at the Bellagio Casino Hotel in Las Vegas. The fountain is situated on the impressive Burj Khalifa Lake, a 12-hectare man-made attraction that sits in front of Dubai Mall.It is the world's largest dancing fountain and is more than 275 metres in length. High-pressure water jets are sent shooting to heights of over 150 metres, perfectly timed to music ranging from classical to world to Arabic in genre. Spectacular laser projections and thousands of luminous lights are choreographed beautifully to make this scintillating performance one you simply cannot afford to miss.As this is a free show and centrally located, the waterfront promenade fills up quite quickly as people leave the shopping centre to get a good view, so be sure to get there early to secure a decent vantage point. Or, a less crowded option is to view the show from the bridge between the mall and Souk Al Bahar. If you would like to spoil yourself and really make the most of this mesmerising performance, why not book a table at any of the restaurants that overlook the lake and fountain to ensure all your senses are thrilled. The show is truly something to behold, with the light beams that emanate from the fountain visible from over 32 kilometres away. Each show lasts between 3 and 5 minutes but, don't worry, there are many different performances each day with a variety of songs and choreography, so be sure to stick around and catch them all.Access to the Dubai Water Fountain is easy thanks to its wonderfully central location. Hop on the bus or metro to downtown Dubai or take the car and park in any of the 14,000 undercover parking spaces in Dubai Mall. The Dubai Fountain performance happens every day, twice in the afternoon and then again in the evening every 30 minutes.
