Universal Studios Florida®

Exhilarating rides and world class film sets are brought together to create this outstanding world-renowned theme park.

Built specifically as a theme park for the purpose of high-adrenaline entertainment, Universal Studios Florida is also a working films set. The park aims to give visitors an insight into film making through various interactive and entertaining mediums. Rides, adventure shows and interactive adventures are all part of the experience here. Visitors can also shop at a replica version of the Kwik-E-Mart made famous by The Simpsons.

With its six themed outdoor film sets, visitors can step back in time to the 1950s at Lucy: A Tribute. This walk through set celebrates one of the most famous redheads of all time, Lucille Ball. Spin through to the future at the Terminator 2: 3-D experience and enjoy the incredible special effects on display.

The San Francisco backlot educates visitors about special effects on its truly unique ride, Hop aboard the Disaster! Learn about what it takes to be a stuntman and the different special effects used in major blockbusters. Who knows, you may even get the chance to be an extra on one of the sets!

For adrenaline junkies, the New York backlot has a whole range of gut wrenching rides in store. The Revenge of the Mummy ride takes riders through a journey in the dark, blazing at speeds of up to 72 kilometres per hour. The Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is definitely worth a visit if you enjoy roller coasters. Reaching speeds of 105 kilometres per hour, this ride is not to be missed.

As most of the rides and attractions at Universal Studios Florida are indoors, it’s a perfect venue to visit during rainy days, or for getting away from the heat of summer. Opening hours vary to reflect the high and low volumes of customers. The spring break is usually its busiest period.
