Quails' Gate Estate Winery

Sip the region’s finest wines and cast your eye across superb views of the Okanagan Valley at this award-winning winery.

Located on the estate of one of the oldest homes in Kelowna, the Quails Gate Estate Winery is known for its prized Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Dine in the winery’s superb restaurant overlooking the valley below or come for a tasting to see why the wines are held in such high esteem. Don’t miss the adjoining estate, where some of the area’s earliest settlers lived.

Let one of the experienced guides take you on a tour of the estate. Quails Gate vineyards cover a total of 180 acres (72 hectares) of land overlooking Lake Okanagan. Enjoy the views as you make your way through the rows of vines. Discover the secret to growing quality grapes and learn how the crop is turned into prize-winning wine in the factory area.

Sample the produce at the tasting session at the end of the tour. Your guide will give you detailed information about the characteristics of each wine. Public winery tours last approximately an hour. You can claim back your tour admission fee with the purchase of two or more bottles of wine. Phone in advance if you would like to organize a private tour for a large group.

Discover the historic Allison House, a traditional manor dating back to 1873. This building was home to some of the earliest European settlers in British Columbia and is furnished with antiques, such as rocking chairs and carved tables. On the ground floor of the house you will find a small gift store selling souvenirs and snacks.

Dine at the Old Vines restaurant and admire the sweeping views across the valley and lake. Choose from a seasonal menu, accompanied by the vineyard’s own selection of wines. If you enjoy the wine be sure to purchase a bottle or two at the estate’s wine shop.

Quails Gate Estate Winery is located in West Kelowna, approximately a 15-minute drive southwest from the city center. The estate and restaurant are open daily with some holiday closures.
