The Expedia+ programme ("Programme" or "Expedia+") is offered to Expedia.co.in customers at the sole discretion of Expedia Inc. ("Expedia"). The Programme is open only to individuals who have reached the legal age of majority in their respective province/territory of residence, have a valid email address, and have enrolled in the Programme ("Member(s)"). The Programme is governed by these Terms and Conditions.

The terms "you" and "your" used throughout these Terms and Conditions refer to any Member and/or any customer eligible to participate in the Programme. By participating in the Programme, Members can earn Expedia+ points ( or "Points") for booking and completing Eligible Travel through Expedia.co.in and redeem available Points for certain travel rewards, subject to these Terms and Conditions and the availability of Eligible Travel (defined below) and reward items. "Eligible Travel" means that you or other travellers booked on an itinerary using your rewards account ("Account"), must stay in the hotel booked, or use the ticket(s) or voucher(s) for the event/activity which you have booked and paid for. By becoming a Member of the Programme, you agree that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

Membership in the Programme is void if prohibited by law in the state or country of the Member's residence, and subject to change as may be necessary to comply with such laws or regulations.

Expedia may at its sole discretion modify, amend or supplement any of the Terms and Conditions governing the Programme—including, but not limited to, the conditions for membership, the rules for earning and redeeming Points, including the rates at which Points may be earned or redeemed, the expiration policy for Points, the Elite Status Programme (defined below), and the products and services on which Points may be earned and redeemed—at any time, even though these changes may affect your ability to use any Points or benefits you have already earned.

In the event these Terms and Conditions are modified, we will provide you notice at least 30 days before the amendment comes into effect, by email to your email address provided to us ("Notice of Variation") and by posting the amended Terms and Conditions online. The most current version of these Terms and Conditions will be available on the website at https://www.expedia.co.in/loyaltyrewards/pages/info-rewards/expediarewards/terms.htm?pageName=page.Rewards.Terms and will supersede all previous versions of these Terms and Conditions. Members are responsible for remaining knowledgeable of the Terms and Conditions and any changes, modifications, or additions to the Programme. If you do not agree with such modification / amendment or supplement, you may rescind or cancel your participation in the Programme without any cost, penalty or cancellation indemnity, by sending us a notice to that effect no later than 30 days after your receipt of the Notice of Variation via email by visiting http://support.expedia.co.in/app/ask.

Expedia reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Member who, in its opinion, is tampering with the operation of the Programme or is acting in violation of these Terms & Conditions or in a fraudulent or deceptive manner. Any attempt by any Member to undermine the legitimate operation of the Programme may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Expedia reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by Expedia to enforce any of these Terms & Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Expedia makes no guarantees, warranties, or representations of any kind concerning the Programme.

To the extent permissible under the applicable law, you agree to release Expedia and its affiliates and partners from all liability regarding the earning, redemption, and use of Points, including any rewards that, after receipt, may be lost, stolen, or destroyed. Expedia suppliers are in no way affiliated with or responsible for Programme administration.

The Programme has no predetermined termination date and will continue until such time as Expedia decides to terminate it. Expedia reserves the right to terminate the Programme at any time with ninety (90) days advance notice to all Members from the date Programme termination is announced. This termination notice period is to provide Members a chance to use available Points remaining in their Account. After expiry of the 90 days' period, any Points will be forfeited without any compensation or any other obligation or liability on behalf of Expedia.

Subject to the terms in relation to the Notice of Variation as set out above, your continued participation in the Programme 30 days after your receipt of the Notice of Variation constitutes your acceptance of any changes to these Terms and Conditions.

If any provision of this Terms and Conditions becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these Terms and Conditions.

Expedia is not responsible for: (a) any loss or delay in receiving, any Member application, correspondence, redemption requests; (b) theft or unauthorized redemption of Points or use of a Reward voucher; (c) any acts or omissions of third parties; or (d) any errors published in relation to the Programme, including, without limitation, any pricing or typographical errors, errors of description and errors in the crediting or debiting of Points from Member Accounts. Expedia reserves the right to correct, without notice, any errors.


  • You must have an account on Expedia.co.in in order to enrol in the Programme ("Account"). Members are responsible for the security of their Account details, Member ID and passwords and shall ensure that their Account details, Member ID and passwords are not disclosed by them whether intentionally or not, so as to allow a third person to access their Account and to make any transactions.

    To earn Points for a booking made on Expedia.co.in, you must be signed in to your Account prior to booking. No Points will be earned for bookings made on Expedia.co.in when you are not signed in to your Account. If you enrol in Expedia+ after booking but before travel is completed, Points will not accrue on that booking.

    As a Member of the Programme, you will receive regular Account servicing updates by email. You must keep your email address and other account information up to date. Expedia may also send you promotions, offers and other communications from time to time, through emails, which may include, without limitation, items from third parties. The items from third parties are based on the information provided to Expedia by the Members and any additional data Expedia may maintain. You may change personal details and communication preferences at any time from the Reward Activity page https://www.expedia.co.in/user/rewards on Expedia.co.in.

    Members may opt out of participation in the Programme from the Rewards Activity page on Expedia.co.in. Your ability to earn and redeem Points will be suspended after you opt out of the Programme. On opting out, you will no longer have access to your account statement information, no Points will accumulate on future bookings, and any accumulated Points will be unavailable for redemption. Any Points in your Account at the time of opting out will expire immediately from your date of opting out.

  • Expedia awards Points only to the owner of the Account through which any eligible booking is made. You will also earn Points for any additional travel for other individuals booked using your Account ("Eligible Booking").

    After making an Eligible Booking, the anticipated amount of Points to be awarded will be held in pending status. However, the Points will become available for redemption only after Eligible Travel. As mentioned above, and for the sake of clarity, Eligible Travel means that you or other travellers booked under your Account, must have completed the stay in the hotel booked, or used the ticket(s) or voucher(s) for the event/activity for which you booked and paid. Pending Points are not available for redemption usage. Points will move from pending to available status after completion of Eligible Travel, based on the time periods identified in the Posting/Reconciliation chart below. Once in available status, Expedia+ points are eligible to be used by the Member for redemption purposes. The amount of pending Points calculated at the time of booking is based on the details of the itinerary booked and completed. Changes or cancellations to the booked itinerary may result in differences between the estimated amount of pending points calculated and the ultimate amount of points that accrue to the Member's Account for that itinerary. No Points will be earned for change or cancellation fees imposed by suppliers.

    Expedia reserves the right to rescind at any time any pending or available Points that were earned or awarded for unused travel items. Points will be rescinded in cases where a Member receives a refund, from either Expedia or a travel supplier or vendor. Points earned pursuant to fraudulent, sham or falsified information will be rescinded by Expedia.

    By joining the Programme, you consent to allow Expedia to monitor all Account activity. If your Account shows signs of fraud, abuse or suspicious activity, Expedia may close or freeze your Account immediately and you may lose your accrued Points. If you have conducted any fraudulent activity, Expedia reserves the right to take any necessary legal action and may have grounds to confiscate any rewards redeemed as a result of such activity or rescind any Points in respect to such activity. In addition, you may be liable for monetary losses to Expedia, including litigation costs and damages, and you will not be allowed to participate in the Programme in the future. Any Account associated with such fraudulent bookings will be frozen from further Point earning or redemption activity. To contest freezing of an account or the rescinding of Points, please call 1860 500 2121.

    If your Account does not represent the correct number of Points that you should have been awarded as determined by Expedia, Expedia reserves the right to augment or decrement your Point balance. If you believe your Account has been the subject of any suspicious activity, please contact the Expedia Service Centre at 1860 500 2121 immediately. If it is determined you have been the victim of a fraud, the Points you have earned may be transferred to a new Account.

    Point accumulation and redemption activity can be accessed on your Rewards Activity page. Points and rewards have no cash value and may not be traded or redeemed for cash. Points may not be assigned, sold, transferred, and/or pledged to any third party. You have no property rights or other legal interests in the Points. You are responsible for any personal tax liability that may be related to participation in the Programme and redemption of any Points.

    If a Member believes he or she did not receive the correct amount of Points for a booking, the Member must contact Expedia Customer Support at 1860 500 2121 within ninety (90) days from the travel end date. Expedia will make the final determination as to whether Points adjustments of any kind are justified for the travel in question. In no event will any Points manually be moved from pending to available status sooner than after completion of Eligible Travel and within the time period identified in the Points Posting/Reconciliation chart below.

  • As noted above, the anticipated amount of Points to be awarded are held in pending status until Eligible Travel is completed and payment has been confirmed. Please see the chart below for length of time it may take for Points to move from pending to available status.

  • Points will be earned at the rates specified from time to time on the Benefit page located at https://www.expedia.co.in/rewards/howitworks#benefits. Points can be earned by booking the following eligible booking items on Expedia.co.in when signed in to your Account:

    • Hotels
    • Holiday Activities
  • The following travel items are not eligible to earn base points:

    • Flights
    • Insurance
    • Car hire
    • Bus
  • From time to time, Expedia may offer opportunities to earn additional Points or "Bonus Points". All applicable terms and conditions associated with the specific bonus offer must be met in order to earn the Bonus Points for your Eligible Travel. Bonus Points will be posted to your Account as pending at time of booking, and will be moved to available status after the travel end date based on the time periods identified in the Posting/Reconciliation chart above, unless otherwise specified in the promotion-specific terms and conditions. Bonus Point offers apply to changed bookings as long as the changed booking still meets all requirements and conditions of the offer. Bonus Point offers do not apply to cancelled bookings. Offers are limited to the offer recipient and are not transferable. Bonus Point offers are not redeemable for cash. Bonus Point offers are void where prohibited by law.

  • Points will not expire as long as there is a qualifying purchase or redemption activity through Expedia.co.in on your Account at least once every eighteen (18) months. "Qualifying purchase or redemption activity" means an Eligible Travel item which has been both booked and completed and points have been confirmed, or redemption of a travel reward through your Account. All points in your Account will expire if there is no qualifying purchase or redemption activity for a period of eighteen (18) months. Once expired, Points will not be reinstated.

  • Expedia+ points can be redeemed for bookings at Expedia Rate hotels. Points cannot be redeemed for cash and have no cash value. Points are not valid where prohibited by law. Pending Points cannot be used toward reward redemption. There is no fee to redeem your points at Expedia.co.in. Points may only be redeemed for eligible purchases of Expedia travel-related goods and services that Expedia will determine in its discretion. Expedia may, in its discretion, allow you to combine points with eligible vouchers.

  • Expedia will deduct from your Account balance the amount of points you elect to use toward your eligible hotel booking. If you do not have enough points to complete an eligible booking, you may use an eligible credit card associated with your Account to complete the transaction.

    A minimum of 3,500 available points are required to be eligible for redemption. Points can only be redeemed where payment is being made to Expedia at time of booking. Members can redeem available Expedia+ points to pay for partial or full cost of an Expedia Rate hotel, including taxes and fees. Points can be redeemed for +VIP Access hotels at double the value of non-+VIP Access hotels.

  • Elite status is an exclusive privilege of Programme membership (the "Elite Status Programme"). All members enter the programme with +blue status and must meet the stated elite qualification criteria. All Programme Terms and Conditions also apply to the Elite Status Programme. Only bookings made in your enrolled Account qualify toward elite status which includes Expedia+ silver status and Expedia+ gold status. Certain programme offers and status benefits may not be available to members who are not residents of India.

    Expedia reserves the right in its sole discretion to discontinue or modify the Expedia Elite Status Programme or to restrict the programme's availability to any person, at any time, for any or no reason, and without prior notice or liability to you.

    In case of fraud or abuse involving the Elite Status Programme, Expedia reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to take appropriate administrative and/or legal action, including but not limited to termination of Programme membership.

    Members can qualify for Elite status by:

    1. Staying the specified number of hotel nights valued at Rs.3,300 per night or more, or;
    2. Meeting a qualifying spend threshold on Expedia.co.in. The following criteria must be met between 1 January and 31 December of any given year.
    +silver7 hotel room nights or Rs.330,000 in eligible Expedia.co.in spend
    +gold15 hotel room nights or Rs.660,000 in eligible Expedia.co.in spend

    Qualifying travel or activity must be completed by 11:59pm Pacific time on 31 December of the qualifying year to count toward Elite status. Travel that begins in one calendar year and ends the next will count toward elite status for the later calendar year. For example, if checking in to a hotel on 30 December, 2015 and out on 3 January, 2016, all four (4) nights and all spend associated with that trip will count toward elite status qualification for the 2016 calendar year.

    Eligible Expedia.co.in spend for the purposes of qualifying for elite status includes hotels and holiday activities. Elite status may be revoked at any time in Expedia's sole discretion if the travel which earned the status is not completed travel as previously defined.

    Once earned, Elite status is valid for the remainder of the calendar year in which you qualified, the next full calendar year, and through 28 February of the following year, unless otherwise specified.

    1. Expedia+ Bonus Points: Expedia+ silver members earn a 10% bonus on all base points earned. Bonus Expedia+ points will be posted to your Account as pending at time of booking, and will move to available status after completion of the travel, based on the time periods identified in the Posting/Reconciliation chart above.
    2. +VIP Access Bonus Points: +silver members receive 250 bonus points for eligible hotel or hotel package stays at hotels bearing the +VIP Access icon. Bonus Expedia+ points will be posted to your Account as pending at time of booking, and will move to available status after completion of the travel, based on the time periods identified in the Posting/Reconciliation chart above.

      Hotels participating in the +VIP Access hotel network are subject to change at any time without notice.

    3. Exclusive hotel amenities: +silver members receive exclusive amenities on property at participating +VIP Access hotels worldwide. Amenities vary by property. Hotels participating in the +VIP Access hotel network that offer exclusive amenities are subject to change at any time without notice. The amenities offered by a given hotel are also subject to change at any time without notice. Exclusive amenities are intended for the primary account holder and will only be extended to additional travellers booked in the +silver member's account at the hotel's discretion and availability.
    4. Exclusive +silver offers: Periodic special offers will be made available exclusively to +silver members.
    5. Exclusive benefits from a dedicated concierge service in Hawaii and Orlando via Expedia Local Expert®. Restrictions may apply. Subject to change at the discretion of Expedia. Discounts do not apply to activity bookings on Expedia.co.in.
