What an amazing stay. Perfect for a short stay to explore the surrounding area. The property is so lovely, hidden away behind a nice facade but what makes this place so great is the hosts - we did things we have never done were it not for your recommendations, thank you :)

We were pleasantly surprised to find that our last minute booking in Oudtshoorn was one of our best stays during our Christmas trip. The hosts were exceptional in their professionalism and personal attention to us. They were very knowledgeable about the areas “must do’s” and eating establishments and even took the time to book some of these on our behalf. Breakfast was a relaxing affair with something for everyone and both a hot and cold breakfast available with the calm sounds of the birds and gentle music in the background. The accommodation is comfortable with the air conditioning being a welcome addition to each room. The owners are gracious and their welcoming demeanor added volumes to the richness of our experience of Oudtshoorn. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Perfect stopover
Lovely guest house owned by a very helpful friendly couple. Right on high st so you can walk safely to several restaurants. The best bit is having your own front door, all bedrooms have outdoor access to rooms so you don’t feel like staying in someone’s home which I hate. Great breakfasts

What a wonderful stay. Our hosts were lovely and went out of their way to help with bookings for trips and restaurants, as well as being very welcoming and just a really nice couple. The room was great with a very comfortable bed, all the amenities required and a lovely shower and washroom. Location is also great, especially for the caves and the excellent restaurant Nostalgie.

Superb stay.
Marta and Cristo are very friendly and helpful. The have gone the extra mile for guests, making sure they provide everything you need. From fans that work during loadshedding, to a filtered water tap and a well stocked honesty fridge. Will stay here again next trip.

Stayed one night on our way from Cape Town to Plettenberg Bay. Hotel was clean and the room spacious. Owners were very helpful and friendly, gave us suggestions of where to eat and what to see. Location was great as we could walk to restaurants and shops easily. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I cannot rate this guest house enough. It was such a fantastic welcome and they gave us some top tips for our journey on. They could recommend the best things to do in the area and booked us in for a meal in one of the local restaurants. 5 star. If we come back to South Africa I would definitely want to stay again and would recommend anyone to even stop for one night to experience it too. Such high attention to detail.

Everything was wonderful, the location is very central to some fabulous resturants, and the local area. The hosts are wonderful, so helpful, you feel like one of the family from check in. The accommodation is beautiful designed and so clean. The breakfast has such a great choice, we highly recommend this accommodation.

We were greeted by the owners and given the warmest welcome. They made us feel like friends and had lots of helpful suggestions for our time in Oudtshoorn and travels onward. The place is lovely with spacious and clean rooms and a convenient location. Breakfast was great and we wished we could have stayed longer!

We arrived with an unusual request. We had gone sea fishing in the morning in Struisbaii and wanted to eat our catch for dinner. Our hosts, Magda and Christo phoned a chef at a local restaurant and we invited them to come with us. The chef cooked our fish perfectly and we had lovely time with our hosts who provided us with great advice and recommendations to enjoy our two day stay in Oudtshoorn. Room and breakfast were great as well. Leaving with fond memories of our stay.

Charming guesthouse in prime location
We enjoyed our stay at this charming b&b. The room was very clean, the beds good and breakfast was excellent. Our host Zoey gave us valuable tips for excursions and restaurants. We would have loved to stay longer.

Located in a quiet area of the city within close walking distance of the two best restaurant in town. The couple that run and own this guesthouse are as dedicated as anyone can be to helping the guest enjoy there stay.

Zoe and Hugh were very helpful and friendly. The house is a beautiful old building that has been lovingly restored. It is on one the Main Streets in Oudtshorn with parking on site. It is very central and therefore we were able to walk to local shops and restaurants. Zoe told us about things to do in the area and explained what they entailed and how to get there!!

Occasionally whilst on your travels you stumble upon somewhere you really feel at home ... this is how it was when we stayed at 88 Baron van Reede. The accommodation was just perfect, comfortable and relaxing. Huw and Zoe, gave us a very warm welcome and spent quite some time, advising on local attractions and restaraunts to visit, even providing discount vouchers for some of them! Zoe's assortment of home made cakes, pastries and jams, were also a lovely touch, and the breakfast selection was huge and very delicious. They even advised us on the best routes and provided maps for our onward journey. We could not recommend a stay with Huw and Zoe highly enough!
