Great location for access to trains and light rail. Overall value for money for a very short stay only. Overall it’s a bit tired, areas around checkin super busy and dirty (rubbish everywhere) and hallways have room service trays and rubbish outside them for more than a day. The bathroom in our room was really grimey - brown stained tiles and black mouldy grout. Our room needed maintenance, which was dealt with well and the problem fixed. Housekeeping forgot to service our room but did replace towels swiftly when asked. Staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be.

Staff who cgecked us in were great. We had city facing room, which was a great view. Great rates, and buffet breakfast was included. Dining staff were very accomodating. All in all, a great stay.

Acessable location. We stayed one night, we loved extremely comfortable double beds we had, lovely crisp sheets. Very good breakfasf with many varied choices. Recommend staying there. My main gripe would be the dark carpet throughout. Carpet not well laid in room we had.

Not enough staff in checkin counter, waited at least 30 mins in line to check in. Staff were not friendly at all, didn’t greet you when walking past or hold the lift for you etc. rooms were absolutely filthy, mould in the top 3 grout lines in the showers, mirrors were dusty, skirting boards were dusty, corners of rooms and window trims were covered in dust and cobwebs, you could see the area they wiped up to.

Rooms are run down Carpets stained and grotty ( level 3) Reception tried to be helpful by moving rooms but the 2nd room was just as bad A cleaning team was sent but really I was just upset by now. The resolution on their part wast to waive the parking fee of $100. So $800 was certainly not money well spent. I will never be back.

We had 2 overseas visitors staying at the Mercure with us had booked 2 rooms and requested they be on the same level. We were told over the phone this would be possible. We arrived at the hotel about 11am to give reception our details and leave our bags until we arrived back with our visitors. We were told then that the 2 rooms would be on the same level and that they would send me a text when our rooms were ready. We were pretty disappointed with them in the end as we weren't on the same level they failed to text me about the rooms being ready and my husband and I were given a disabled room which was not necessary for us and we weren't happy about. Will think twice about staying at this hotel again.
