Although the overall service and the quality of the hotel was good, there were certainly a few incidents where we have been let down.
The most ridiculous of them all was that on our third night of stay, the hotel decided to deduct $1,500 from my bank account, noting this was before check-out. Upon consulting with the receptionist whose reaction, she said and I quote, ‘oh that’s strange. But it’s still pending and once you have checked out, the funds will be returned to you’. The lack of professionalism and customer care the way this was handled amazed me! The attitude was more like ‘well, too bad, I didn’t do this, and you will get your money back anyway, lady, what else do you want?!’ What frustrates me is that my money has been taken without an explanation while I am still a staying guest! Shocking! FYI - I have not received a cent to date!
Due to limited word count, I am only going to raise one other matter with a male receptionist regarding arranging the breakfast for the next day. Upon checking in, we have been advised to prebook the breakfast at reception for better rates. The male receptionist insisted on explaining that better rates only apply upon arrival and that they don’t take reservations for breakfast. Noting that we had arranged the breakfast this way for the previous 2 days without any issues. When I saw the same lady who helped us the day before, the male receptionist said and I quote ‘you will get the same information from her!’. Well, obviously not!
