Great value for money! A cheap Uber away from the airport and a huge room which exceeded expectations. Nice refreshing pool to dip into as well. Only shame was that we booked for airport pickup. Me and my friends all attempted to call the hotel 3 times in the week prior and the hotel was uncontactable. They only got back to us when my Uber to go to the hotel was booked! Breakfast is also very simple (toast, eggs, cut fruit, half a sausage) but good to get some food in before heading out for the day. That being said, it was great value to stay for the night. Would pop by again!

We were only there for a few hours to wash up and get some sleep before our 3 am flight the following morning. Although the hotel was old, it was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The air conditioner was loud and the TV controls wouldn’t work but the staff replaced some of the equipment and got it working. The shuttle to the airport was on time and very efficient. It served the purpose that we wanted.

Recommend this hotel. Nice pool and the lady manager was friendly. I didnt like their pay first policy. Expedia had my credit card details so i couldnt have left without paying. Pity the restaurant took a long time to produce food even in a non busy time.

Stay before departing to airport.
Very warm welcome when we arrived. At check in we received a a welcome drink and also confirmed booking of our transport to the airport the morning. Room was clean and shower was good, air con was also working. So everything was great. Surrounded by beautiful gardens that are well maintained this was a lovely place for our last night. We didn't eat dinner at restaurant as we had had a large lunch before travelling up, so unable to comment on that. Breakfast was simple but hit the spot. Transport was ready and waiting on time and very short 10 mins or so trip to airport.

well... where to start? (not well). i finally heard from the hotel about the transfer driver who was to meet us outside the airport. after an hour thereabouts i had to call (a lovely chap let me use his phone). the driver said he was stuck in traffic and would be ten mins. waited another hour or so (could there be that much traffic - i was incredulous). it was around midnight and we'd been in travel limbo for about 24 hours. so, we caught a taxi. the taxi went round and round, couldn't locate the place... back and forth, round and round... out in the sticks. apparently, he'd driven past a few times but the sign was not illuminated, not turned on. the room... was mouldy, stank of mould. and next to the kitchen. no hot water. it's a vast property, so i wondered why we were put there. knew there would be early morning noises - they came at 6. overall, a lot of bother for a few hours' kip. on the plus side, it had a pleasant pool area.

Great choice for airport transfers
An excellent hotel for convenient access to the airport (BIA). The complimentary shuttle service is with a van so can fit lots of cases. Staff are welcoming and service is excellent. The rooms were clean, though the design did mean insects could still enter through gaps under doors etc. The AC and fan worked well, and there was tea/coffee in the room. One appeal when booking was the pool, but this does need more regular cleaning and new mats for the loungers, plus towels were not provided so you would need those from the room. The location did mean mosquitoes could be a distraction late afternoon/early evening. Food in the restaurant was very tasty so it meant an extra trip out was not needed, especially as the location meant nothing close by. Overall pleased with our stay.

Small independent operators struggling with tough times in Sri Lanka. They try to give a good service to their customers. Free airport pick-up/drop available. Close distance to the airport is an advantage. Rooms are spacious and fairly clean. However cannot be satisfied with basics such as the hot water didn't work in our room. So the kids couldn't have a shower after a long flight. There's no milk in the fridge, so, couldn't drink a cup of tea in the morning. TV channels are local ones only. They could've thought of those simple things. With those drawbacks, I think the amount they charge is slightly excessive!

On any normal visit this property would suffice and meet all needs, but i booked with the intention of having a good sleep before a long journey. I was in a room very close to a big wedding, and the music was very loud until small hours. Upon requesting a room change they moced me into a room next to a family with two very loud and hysterical children, despite the hotel being empty. Guests should be notified about a wedding, as this is a hotel mainly used to have a final moment of recovery before a long flight. I would not stay here again for this reason, though the rooms were clean, beds comfortable and food satisfactory. I appreciated the included airport transfer.

Perfect stay with airport transfer.
Booked for an airport stop over, I had complementary pick up from airport and breakfast included. Room was lovely, with water, tea and coffee provided and free wifi. Staff were amazing, friendly helpful service during stay. Had evening meal at their restaurant which was lovely, and relaxed by the pool during the day. I will definitely stay again.

Colombo airport hotel
Staff very friendly and welcoming. Pool is very nice. Offering airport shuttle is a huge benefit and one of the main reasons I chose to stay here. Kitchen serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at inexpensive prices.

Good for one night stay before airport.
The room was nice and spacious, lights were a little tricky to figure out but ok. Very spotty wifi. Plane noise wasn't too bad, only a little at night and morning. Biggest issue was the dogs barking all night, but I do understand that some of them may be wild and not able to be controlled. Best part was the pool was very nice and clean and the dinner menu was very large. Airport transport was nice.

Great place. In the evening, some people waited a long time for food, so order early. It is near the airport, and the planes come in all night long just overhead-but not too much of a problem. I will stay again on my next trip to the area.

No Water!!
Woke up early in morning for airport transfer to find there was no running water in bathroom! No reception staff available at 6am to inform so had to go looking for ground staff - eventually someone looked into it and fixed the problem but the delay meant I missed the booked airport transfer and had to get the next one. When reception staff eventually arrived, she was rude and appeared angry that I missed the transfer and refused to believe I had no water saying all bathrooms have water. Also there was no hot water in bathroom so only cold water shower available. If not for water problem, would have given 4-stars as hotel and room were clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. PS. limited vegetarian breakfast options although packed take-away breakfast was ok.

Oreeka is a lovely, tranquil hotel perfect for relaxing before you fly home. The staff all go above and beyond your expectations and always with a smile- in particular the receptionist. The gardens, pool area are immaculate and the bedrooms are large and modern- I will definitely be recommending to all my friends and family who are coming to Sri Lanka
