Tons of Turkish restaurants and a very loud call to prayer 5 times a day. It's like camping but you can't stand up to bet dressed. But the price was right.

Let me tell you… as soon as you step in you get a strong smell of mothballs pesticide. ( not a fan as this smell lingered onto your clothes and hair) the bed it self was comfortable, they have lockers for you under your cube that fits 2 carry on luggage’s and 2 personal items and it locks with a key card. Very clean, very quiet in cube dorm; lots of private shower rooms. Unfortunately no lounge area to just sit comfortably and chill. Adequate dining area with very small shared food prep area.

I stayed 5 nights and this is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I love the cube/capsule thing. Not only does it provide more privacy than a traditional bunk, but there’s actually quite a bit of room inside. Hanger with hook, towel rack, three cabinets (one folds down as a table/surface), plus floor space and a locking storage underneath. The linens were good quality, a towel and slippers were provided (no shoes in the rooms), and the bed and pillows (two pillows!!!) were extremely comfortable. As with any hostel, shared bathrooms are a challenge. Most folks use them in the morning before complementary breakfast, and the floors get pretty hairy and wet. Housekeeping seems to clean them in the afternoon, so I switched my shower schedule to evenings (perfect after a day getting drenched out in the humid heat) and was more comfortable in several ways. Management is friendly, and helpful. Staff clearly work hard at a challenging job. Despite being above a touristy street, the street noise wasn’t very audible. The prayers at the mosque were audible, but that’s just a few times during the day and I found it pleasant. Guests were generally respectful, although sometimes noisy coming in late at night, but nothing out if the ordinary- it’s not a party hostel. There were some great food options nearby I would absolutely stay surrounding the hostel, and buses in any direction to anywhere else in Singapore, and just a 9 minute walk to the nearest MRT (subway/underground) station.

I stayed 3 nights in a private room with 2 queen beds. The bed was big and comfortable. I liked the upper bunk because it felt cozy. Most of the time, there was a washroom available right away. I liked the newness of the furniture and washrooms in general. The eating area for the breakfast can get crowded.

Just book it before it’s full
For a hostel this was excellent . There was an employee always cleaning the bathrooms , hallways etc Make sure to book a lower cube as the upper ones are high . Breakfast was good . In an excellent location , close to MRT / Queen Street bus terminal and shopping , bars and restaurants . There is a mosque within 60 feet that does prayers regularly but it didn’t bother me ..(@ sunrise {4&7 am approx and then same for sunset ) Located on a tourist street ( no vehicles ) so fun and easy . I highly recommend Cube Boutique and will stay again .

I didn't like the location, no transpo can get close, you have to walk to your ride while raining, the staff ( 1/4-5/24 ) on duty in the dining was rude and unfriendly.In fact all staff during our stay are not so friendly.

Dirty and Difficult
I stayed there for a couple of nights in September and I was really disappointed. They are quite busy so they don’t really accommodate guests requests. All of the bathrooms are run down and dirty. There were mosquitos in the shower and the flush smelled. There was hair in all the drains and the floor. They don’t really maintain the rest of the facility. The pillows had washed out stains. I ended up not going back for the rest of my stay and they didn’t refund me. I paid more for another hotel and I wish I had just done that in the beginning. I am traumatized from this hostel experience and likely won’t do a hostel again.

I arrived late around midnight. There is no elevator and no offer to help get my bags upstairs. There were a couple of pair of shoes next to my cube and shades were down so it appeared someone may be in there. I went back down to check with attendant and he assured me it was empty. I was unaware of lockers under cube so had to make noise getting my bags into the cube. I could hear someone snoring from my cube so not very sound proof at all. Bathrooms were not as clean as I would’ve preferred but I understand since they are shared. I think better support staff would have been helpful in making me feel welcomed but it was late. Definitely an experience.

The location is simply fantastic with lots of Turkish, Lebanese and local cuisine restaurants. The hotel is just great. Beds are comfortable and clean. The place is just amazing.

Good, would stay again.
We arrived at the hostel a day late as our flight was cancelled but this was not a problem. When we arrived the dorm was messy from previous guests. There was used bed sheets and towels on the floor and one of the pods we had been allocated had been slept in. We spoke to reception and this was quickly dealt with and the mess was cleared up. The rest of our stay was very pleasant. The pods are very comfortable to sleep in, although I recommend ear plugs. Overall lovely hostel, would stay again!

Shared bathrooms were a nightmare, clueless staff
I'll never stay at any Cube "hotel" again. Staff was rude and sent me to another location because they could not see my reservation until I got the Expedia agent involved, and yet they blamed and got upset of me! At the new location, 3 other staff members had little to no knowledge of the city and were generally unfriendly. Photos were deceiving. The pod door is only a plastic/fabric screen that you pull up and down, so it's very noisy and you hear everything from other guests. Upper pods are hard to access because you climb using metal bars and square metal stairs that will hurt you if you slip. Major hazard there that would be banned in other countries. There were 2 spiders in my pod. Towels smelled like mold. Shared bathrooms were a nightmare being serviced only once a day. No ventilation, miniature sinks with water splashing all over the floor, water everywhere from other guests that had showered. No paper towels or hand dryers whatsoever, so everyone was using the toilet papers that would get wet and run out quickly, and overflow the trashbins. Not enough shampoo or soap by late afternoon when you wanted to shower. Nasty bathroom smell of mold and feces because of no ventilation working. No eating or driking allowed in the pods and you had to go downstairs to the cafeteria, which had dirty tables. There was a rest area with a sofa but useless because it was too small only good for one person. Breakfast was ok but the toast machine didn't work well... Never again!

Very competent nice little place in a decent enough area of Singapore. Perfect for what I needed which was a bed for the night before travelling elsewhere. Comfortable bed, free breakfast, coffee etc. Only one shower but as I woke up almost later than anyone else wasn't full. Good for solo travellers but some families made use of the hotel as well

The location is perfect if you like shops and night life. Everyone was so kind and the community was amazing. If you want to go to Marina Sands Area it will be a 20 min walk which I didn’t find bad at all

Very good location, plenty of restaurants nearby. Close to Bugis mrt and Haji Lane. We had a family air conditioned room, comfortable beds and good breakfast. Friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel.

We landed early and were allowed to put our luggage in the hotel. That is the best service. Not so flexible when checking in, although it was only half-an-hour early prior to 3:00 pm. If only a locked door is provided, instead of a blind, for individual cubicle privacy, it would be the best safety feature shared within the cube.

Okay for backpackers only if you consider the cheap price merely. The cleanliness of shared toilets and the cubical beds are not in good condition. But the location is good for sightseeing and dining within the Muslim society. And also it has a walkable distance within 10 mins to Bugis station and shopping mall.

We loved the family experience of getting to stay at a cube hotel. The location was incredible and the staff was extremely helpful at recommending where to go, as the site also includes the tourist information location for the area. The breakfasts were filling. Once an item ran out, it was not replaced, which was disappointing, so watermelon and jam were often lacking by 8:30 or 9. There was always hot water and clean towels available. Waits for showers and toilets was minimal. No shoes are worn at the site, but slippers are provided, and we got used to that quickly. All in all, a great experience that we would do again.

Good price for just a bed.
Arrived late to the property to an empty reception, not a good first impression. The cube’s are comfortable and clean. The breakfast wasn’t inviting or looked appetizing. They should really try to maintain the restrooms and toilets more frequently given the fact that it’s shared among many travelers.

Location was fantastic, breakfast was great and we really enjoyed the quiet rooms. Would definitely stay again. Bathrooms are cleaned throughout the day but often had wet bathroom mats and hair on floor. They might need to be checked more regularly.

The property is clean, and the staff very helpful and friendly. I would give it a 4 star instead of 5 because of the noise level. It may not bother many people, but for someone like me, who is sound sensitive, it will not work for a good night's sleep! Aside from that, a very good facility with a great location.
