Firstly I want to say that I did really enjoy my stay here, how could you not with that view? There’s just a few things I would mention that people should be aware of before they book.
So this is the most I have ever spent (per night) on a hotel, I’m a strong believer that you don’t have to pay mega money to get good luxury hotels. This was one time where I decided to splash out.
We had already stayed in Fira for a few days whilst we explored the island and wanted a secluded getaway for the last few days. Check-in was very welcoming, I was a bit disappointed about how late the check-in time was, not as much time in the room.
Sitting in the lobby area I noticed how many scratches and scrapes there were on the wood and how the speakers with the music on sounded so Tinny that you couldn’t tell what song was playing. Everything is painted white so I guess that’s hard to maintain. Just needed some TLC.
Even when we got into the room there was still dents and scratches everywhere all over the room. The Bluetooth speaker in the room cut out every 5 seconds even with the phone right next to it. (Luckily we had brought our own Bluetooth speaker so used that instead). The internet didn’t work for the entire stay, it would log you in and then immediately log you out again.
Look if you have 600 to throw at an Instagram photo, knock yourself out, but don’t expect luxury or value for money from this hotel. Go for the biggest and best room if you have money to burn.
