Nice ocean view. 45 mins from airport and 30 mins to Funchal. On quiet part of island which we preferred and hired a car. Would recommend. Hotel was a little dark and if outdoor pools were heated we could swim comfortably. Large hotel. We parked along the road for free. Weather changes a lot in Madeira and different weather in each town. "

"We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our stay in Madeira, lovely hotel with great views out to the Atlantic Ocean. Hotel is situated on the promenade of Ponta Da Sol and takes up about 2/3rds of it. It’s been built in a sympathetic style to fit in with the local area. Breakfast was included in our room rate and we found a good selection of hot and cold food. We never used the indoor pool but did you’d the interface on the 4th floor on a couple of occasions. Some nice places to eat just around the corner on ‘Bar Street’, the Beach Bar is also a nice place to hang about during the day and early evening. Best sunset on the island and you don’t even need to leave your room. Perfect base to explore the island."

The management and staff were outstanding . Beautiful setting overlooking Funchal and the sea, surrounded by very pretty gardens. A perfect holiday "
