So very disappointed. Hotel was under construction; no restaurant, no gym, not any of the extras experienced at Halloween. Staff not friendly or helpful. Housekeeping basically only makes your bed. Not at the service or high quality experienced in the past. Will certainly try other places for next trip. TV had minimal services during the week. No streaming, no gaming, internet sketchy with phones. Over weekend TV was up to full capacity. Booked room with water view was told only King bedrooms get a water view. Vending machine was broke, tons of sodas were at the bottom blocking and one from obtaining their purchase. Very disturbing for a blind convention attendees unaware of where their purchase went. Reported to a Crystal who refunded our funds. She was consistently more professional & helpful than other staff. No directions provided at checkin no book left in the room for guidance on hotel policies. Lacked the friendliness I've come to expect at this hotel for the price you pay. Bragged to friends it was the best in all of Salem but truly disappointing. Hotel had about 3 months to warn us they would be under construction but failed to update us that service would be limited. Based on the lack of cheer the staff presented one can only assume they are unhappy and not treated well by employer. Curious if their are new owners. Was very bespoke in the past now just a typical Sheraton vibe.
