Quaint hotel on beautiful grounds
Check-in was not great. Seems their system's integration with Hotels.com is faulty, and so they did not see we had booked 2 King rooms with beach access (i.e. ground floor facing the ocean). In the end, we had to settle moving to a 1 king room and 1 twin room, since 2 Kings with beach access weren't available. Beyond that though, our stay was pleasant. The hotel and rooms are quite dated (90s look) but the grounds and facilities are fantastic - 3 different pools, golf driving range, a dive center, children's playground, table tennis, two restaurants, a pub, and not to mention a deserted white sand beach on the Indian Ocean lined with an unlimited number of lounge chairs and barasti umbrellas. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Outside the hotel, it is surrounded by coconut, papaya and banana farms that creates a canopy and landscape that looks like Sri Lanka.

I had an Amazing stay at Crownie plaza Salalah!!! Partially because of the gorgeous weather but mostly because of the staff at that hotel. It was my second visit( and I strongly believe there will be many more:) and, when I though it could not get any better, it actually did!! I got the Royal treatment with a beautiful room, comfy bed and even more comfortable pillows, tons of hugs, smiles, kind words from the hotel Team, delicious fruit and pastry platers, and fountains of water and Earl Grey tea ( right, Muhasin:)Everyone went above and beyond to accommodate my every single need. Special thanks to my fav staff members - Mae and Darshana from reception desk, very knowledgeable, accommodating, professional, kind and helpful; I also would like to mention Muhasin, with his happy and funny personality, who made sure I stayed hydrated :)) during my stay there, and the amazing chef who made sure the food was absolutely delicious every single day. Additionally, I’d like to thank all the restaurant as well as housekeeping staff, Elvira, Shasinle, Sabir, Rana in particular ( I am sorry i cannot recall all the names) who work extremely hard to please everyone. I’m not sure if there’s another place with such impecable service like here in Crowne Plaza Salalah!❣️They all deserve five stars and a significant raise:)) It is truly my home away from home! And I cannot wait to visit Crowne Plaza Salalah next year. Thank you so very much, guys! You really made my stay very special ❤️

The hotel offers free airport transfer which is very rare these days. I arrived early in the morning and they allowed me to check in. Room and facility conditions are very good. Highly recommend.

One of the worst hotel I have ever been. Very bad service, very dirty room, very dirty pillows and sheets, very dirty towels, very bad service .. this hotel was just a wasting of money and time .. There was a lady in the front disk, she was very bad .. I told her that I fond a dirty towel in my bathroom and I show her the picture of the dirty pillow .. but she never apologized for any of these issues.. Also, they gave me different room than what I booked for .. When I want to check out, I call them and asked for a trolley, but they did not send it .. There is no parking when you come to the hotel at night… Very bad food and very bad service and very bad staff .. there were only two nice guy at the front desk (one guy from Oman and one from Egypt) I will never come back to this hotel and I will never recommend it for anyone .. I was not happy with the very bad service and very bad staff .. The hotel is very expensive, but it did not worth it at all ..

Great hotel and five star staff
The first thing to note is the staff was impeccable, from morning breakfast buffets to house keeping to evening sheesha/hookas by the beach- we were continually impressed throughout our 4 day stay. The location is perfect for a balance of beach, pool, and getting around. The hotel is well maintained and once again, the staff really has our resp!

Great beachside stay
This was our second stay at Crowne Plaza Salalah & once again we had a really relaxing stay with great food and excellent service. The hotel is well positioned for trips to the Frankincense museum & archaeological site & a short taxi ride into Salalah. Our sea facing room was also facing one of the swimming pools & we were a little concerned upon arrival that it could be noisy- this proved to not be the case. Our room which was kept spotlessly clean, was large & well appointed with traditional furnishings, a very comfortable bed and quality bedding. The UK sockets were also appreciated for charging mobiles etc. The bathroom was adequate if a little dated. Public areas are lovely with well tended gardens (where we joined beginners yoga most afternoons) and ample sun beds both in the gardens and on the beach - the new beachside restaurant is a great location for inside/outside dining. We enjoyed every meal! from check in to check out we were made to feel like honoured guests and cannot praise the staff highly enough. A very special thank you to Hadi Fahed , for always taking the time to welcome us no matter how busy & for sharing recipe tips and introducing us to Anis tea. We left feeling like we were leaving new friends but knowing we will return

Beautiful salalah resort
I had an incredible stay at Crown Plaza from the initial emails arranging free transportation to the hotel. All staff were friendly and willing to go above and beyond with all the service that they provided. The breakfast was incredibly varied and such a wide selection of foods that you would not want to leave. The resort was impeccable and a shirt walk to the beautiful beach where you can walk for miles on white sand..... the rooms were first class and provided a rest if you did not want to enjoy the incredible scenery outside. I would highly recommend a stay here to relax and enjoy incredible scenery

relaxing break!
The hotel is old but got a grand entrance with massive chandeliers, high ceiling, big glass windows over looking the garden, pool and the sea. There are 2 pools and the main is a large size, heated and shared by local learners in the evening. It was monsoon so the beach was closed for swimmers due to very high, forceful waves, but you can walk on the quiet, misty beach with soft sand. The sea water was icy cold. The continental breakfast was of high standard with the usual variety as expected. The room was on the ground floor was large, comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was slightly dated but very clean. all the staff ranging from cleaners, reception and the breakfast area were friendly and accommodating. For other meals there are no shops or restaurants nearby. Al Baleed archaeological site is half an hour walk away and well worth a visit. The only downside was the weather as it was dull and grey during our stay and we had a little drizzle around once a day.

I did like the beautiful beach, location of the hotel, food. Didn’t like that the building was old and though I have chosen nonsmoking room there was smelling of smoke in the corridor.

Beautiful Setting - Beware of Advertised Sea View
We had a nice stay at the Crowne Plaza Salalah. The decor is a bit dated but the rooms were clean and comfortable and there are great health club and pool facilities. The breakfast buffet is delicious although, unfortunately, the dinner at Dolphin Beach Restaurant was bland and tasteless. The location is great - right on the beautiful and clean white sand beach. Don't pay more for a "sea view" - we could barely see the water as our view was blocked by a building and a construction project. There isn't a balcony either - just a dirty window. We received excellent customer service and the staff did their best to accommodate us after our complaints about the "sea view".

Great stay, value for money!
My stay at Crown Plaza Resort was amazing. Good value for money, spacious room, great service, location, in dinning food and over all proximity to usual tourist spots. I would prefer to live here again in my next trip as well.
