3rd rate service by a bunch of amateurs!
This hotel needs to be shut down for being irresponsible. My wife and I checked in today. She had called up the hotel on the 13th to pick us up from the airport. When we arrived, there was no car. We called up the hotel and waited for 45 minutes. Every call made by us was met with litany of excuses, i.e., “Madame, we are very sorry, and the car will be there in 5 minutes!”. Every time, this was 20 minutes ago!. Finally, we took a taxi and came to the hotel. Upon arrival, there were 3 people waiting for us. We were told that this was a system error, and this was followed by profuse apologies. We accepted this fact, because these things do happen. However, the reality is that these things do not happen at “real” 5 Star hotels. They happen at 5-star hotel who employ amateurs, who are casual about their work and responsibility. Unfortunately, this Westin is full of these types of people. The story gets even better. We had to go for a pre-marriage party. Being new to the city, we booked a car from the hotel at 8.30pm, in the hope that this is the safest option. At 11.30pm, I called up the driver Ramdas on his phone nearly 100 times, and there was no response! Then I called up the hotel, and the concierge tells me that they had moved the driver, because there was some other important business! I was stunned, with this irresponsible behaviour.
