The staff was helpful and property is in a good location within walkable distance to major attractions. Hotel does not have a restaurant and also the price for a night stay is expensive when compared to the room and the facilities available. Overall a decent stay.

Best staff ever.
These people are the most helpful and kind staff ever. They were exceptionally nice when I checked in, helping me to know what was in the area and what to do. And then, as I was there when India went into lockdown over coronavirus, they spent 2 hours helping me to get a ticket out of India.

Excellent location, close to beach & shops. The room was exactly what was advertised so we were not disappointed. However, there was a strong smell of smoke. The lovely looking cushions & bed runner smelt so bad I had to put them at the end of the room. Saving grace the sheets were clean. Dragging luggage up & downstairs was not exactly a thrill. All in all Lovely room. The contacts I made were great for me. Would stay there again.

Nice Place to stay close to WhiteTown
Small cosy place with only 10 to 11 rooms.. Service is top class and staff is totally friendly.. Location is ideal for people wanting to be close to White Town. The beach is walkable with under 10 mins of walk. The premium room is quiet spacious but the interior is not top class but who cares as long as it clean , near comfortable.. The breakfast options are limited and has mostly South Indian options such as Idly, Vada , Dosas (pancakes) etc but there is at least 1 option like Paratha , Pongal , Bullet idly etc which is a good option if you are bored of eating the regular. There is a cut fruit option but quiet limited however it would have been ideal if they had some juices in the breakfast option as well. It has parking option which is a big plus. Although the hotel supports late check-in checkout options , given it’s a small hotel chances of getting these is limited as the hotel is usually full. If you are looking at a full fledged hotel option this is not a choice as it doesn’t have spa or pool etc but if you want to stay close to white town this is a go to place. The hotel is on a little expensive end especially during holiday season as we paid over 9000 a night during the Christmas season.

GREAT LOCATION AND ROOM.
This hotel was really quite good overall...it is in a very good location only a 400-500 metre safe walk to the all important Promenade...rooms are clean, safe, comfy beds, all tv channels, good hot showers etc...the breakfast buffet is varied and fresh...no hesitation to recommend if travelling solo.

Logic and common sense is not too common nowadays. Had booked a family room with 4 occupants. They provided us with one soap, one single shampoo and two towels. If you have a room that accommodates 4 people at least have the sense to provide basic number of toiletries that everyone can use. The check-in experience was also bad as they did not have details on the advance payment made. They would ask the customer (who had a 5 hour journey from Chennai) wait on the front desk and submit proof that the payment is made. All this because Treebo system was not updated to show the advance payment.

Clean and good location
Romm: it was clean, good size for a couple AC works good, no fridge. Breakfast: buffet with few options of food (it has a lot to improve). Location: nearby restaurants and small markets and few metera from the beach. Staff: helpfulness.

A little "green" jewel!
It is so refreshing to be in a clean hotel. Room is big, bed is good, hotwater for tea or coffee in the room is a nice touch. Bathroom is spotless and the staff is very attentive and helpful. They do care.

OK hotel in convenient location
Stayed one night at Treebo Grace Inn as a break from 4 weeks of training in Chennai. We had two rooms, one at the front and one at the back. The front one was very spacious with a queen size bed and two twins and had large French windows overlooking the street but as a consequence was very noisy. The back one was smaller with a small window but no view, just a wall. There were problems with the toilet in front room (first it wouldn't flush, then leaked all over the floor when fixed). Also, the location of the bathroom floor drain is in the opposite corner to the shower so the whole bathroom floor gets (and stays) wet when you shower. Overall not a bad experience but we saw other hotels nearby in quieter locations that I would probably opt for next time.

Conveniently located, value for money
We stayed at Hotel Treebo Grace Inn for 3 nights (Oct 14-17, 2017) during a recent family trip to Pondicherry. I would recommend this hotel to tourists who primarily want to get away from the din of city life and relax with family. Being located within the White Town (i.e. old French Quarters), it is a walking distance from the Promenade beach, the Aurobindo Ashram, the marketplace as well as several excellent restaurants. With the discount offered by Expedia, we found it an economic and decent stay option within the White Town. The staff are friendly and accommodating. To cite an example - on one occasion, the toddlers accompanying us created noise in the corridors late in the evening and some other guests complained at the reception. The staff in charge was courteous almost to the point of apologizing while informing us of the complaint. While it is hard to restrict toddlers from running around, we did our bit to help the situation in the following days. Another important point is the ease of cancelling prepaid bookings which entails full refund within 3-4 days if done within the free cancellation period. Also, one of the families accompanying us on the trip asked for a late checkout (around 7:45 PM) and it entailed half a night's cost - which we found acceptable.

We stayed here from Oct 14-17, 2017 during a family trip to Pondy. We were 3 families with 2 kids barely 2 years old. I had pre-booked the rooms through Expedia at a discounted rate. Overall the stay was quite pleasant. Here’s a break up of our experience – 1. With the discount offered, the hotel qualifies as one of the economic stay options within the White Town. 2. The hotel staff was sensitive enough to offer large, spacious rooms to the families with kids. All the rooms were clean and well-lit with freshly painted walls and tasteful décor. On our request, the staff allowed us access to the kitchen so that we could get fresh food prepared for the kids. They also arranged for a cook to help us with the cooking - a gesture we found really nice. The breakfast was decent and offered idli-s and butter/jam toast along with other varying options like pongal, upma and puri-s. Clean drinking water was available all through the day. Access to the terrace to dry wet clothes was permitted. These are minor yet necessary things you look for while traveling with kids. 3. As per our original plan, 2 more families were supposed to join us. I had initially made a prepaid booking for 15 nights (5 rooms x 3 nights) and had to cancel 7 later. The request processing was smooth and full refund of the booking amount was made. While the cancellations were made well within the free cancellation period, that Expedia or Treebo didn’t charge us on the pretext of processing overhead made us happy.

Basic hotel with exceptional staff behaviour
It's basic hotel with exceptional staffs. All the staffs i came across were super friendly and tried their best to make stay great. Need to improve choices for breakfast menu. Room i stayed was clean but was stinking with cigarate smell to start until complained. Basement parking is available but approach i feel is only good for SUVs. Ni restraunt on-site but couple of food joints in 10 mins walk. Location wise ok, 10 mins walk to beach. 15 mins to Sri Arobindo Ashram. Overall I would suggest this for short trip and budget stay.

Nice escape
Close to the main road and walkable distance to most of the French area. A very new hotel that is a nice touch. Lots of warm water and cold AC. Decent South Indian breakfast, could have used a little more variety. All in all a really nice place

New Hotel, some small glitches but overall great.
We stayed 2 weeks, the staff excelled to look after all our needs. Being new, there are still some small glitches to be sorted out but the hotel is being pro-active getting feedback from customers, which will only improve the hotel over time.

Wi-Fi was a little unstable. Otherwise it was comfortable. Breakfast service on the rooftop terrace was satisfactory. The room rates seem to fluctuate a lot, but I would stay there again when there is a discount.

Hatt en fantastisk uke i Pondicherry. Betalte kr 1400 for 7 netter, så er et enkelt hotell med type indisk frokost. Veldig hyggelige ansatte, rommet blir vasket og håndkler skiftet daglig om ønskelig. Sentral beliggenhet, leide tråsykkel og brukte denne til å farte rundt med hotellet som utgangspunkt.

Lives up to it's promise
Good location. The boys were always helpful. Nice room, clean and everything you need. Breakfast could be better and we were waken up early by the sounds of the kitchen which was probably right below us.

O hotel é bem localizado, na região existem boas opções de restaurantes e fica próximo a praia. Os funcionários são muito prestativos e sempre dispostos a ajudar. As instalações são limpas, quarto e banheiro também limpos. O quarto é comfortável, com amplo espaço, cama confortável e o ar condicionado funciona muito bem (fato que é muito importante). O que pode melhorar é o café da manhã que apesar de ser no estilo buffet apresenta poucas opções, e todos os dias são servidos as mesmas receitas.
