A good stay

It was a pleasant stay with the hotel. Overall, experience was good. More amenities and furniture would be appreciated. Break fast should be more elaborate than what was offered. Staff was friendly and quick to respond.

Absolutely wonderful property right in the heart of White town in Pondicherry. It’s perfectly located right by the promenade which is ideal for evening strolls. A tranquil spot with lovely staff.

The property is lovely but I think fairly pricey for a 3*** hotel. That being said, enjoyed a lovely dinner at the rooftop restaurant and they loan out bikes free of charge! Much nicer to explore the town by bike on a hot day!

Excellent stay. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Staff was helpful and gave suggestions on what to do and what to eat. Location was very good and walking distance from all good restaurants and Ashram and shops. Breakfast was nice at the rooftop place with good variety of Indian food and continental options. Will like to stay again if we visit to Pondicherry.

Clean and cozy room, swimming pool depth was good. Lobby staffs are really kind, except that I was given misinformation on several travel information such as time, price etc.. but it's Okay.

Good hotel but food was bad..

This Hotel is just 5 years old but they built in Antique French style. Classy and elegant look with much bigger room space and bathroom. Only disappointment was Food. Menu for Dinner and Breakfast was very limited and Food taste bad....

Modern classic

Very nice location. Traditional style in classic look but very new rooms and building. Beautiful rooms, bathrooms and pool. Friendly staff. Limited breakfast options. They let us check out late which was very much appreciated. A bit pricey and not exactly my crowd but I would certainly go back. Loved the high ceilings in the guest rooms.

A peaceful gem

Magical moment on stepping into the hotel: peaceful, cool and welcoming. The courtyard pool was exquisite as was our room and the dining experience on the rooftop terrace in the evening. The same rooftop terrace was rather too hot for lunch to be comfortable but does catch the sea breeze so fine at breakfast time. All in all a real gem! The staff are delightful too and the awareness of environmental issues was also very good to see. I would definitely return!

Great place to stay

Very nice hotel in the heart of Whitetown. Modern standard within old colonial style building, nicely decorated, great pool and very friendly and helpful staff for whatever you may need help for. The only improvement suggestion is to hurry up a bit in the kitchen, it takes a bit too long to prepare. Great place to stay

Very nice stay in the heart of Whitetown

Very nice hotel in the heart of Whitetown (wrong location given on the map during booking), it is actually much better placed, closer to the beach promenade, ideal to discover the colonial centre of Pondicherry. Very clean and comfortable, nice swimming pool, staff extremely nice and helpful for whatsoever problem; only hic-up for us, overpriced extra bed and extra breakfast. But very recommendable

Sweet Short Stay

Fantastic short stay at Palais de Mahe. Kudos to the management for the cleanliness, staff training etc.. Only hindrance was, signal on mobile phone was nil/weak inside the hotel(Wifi works ggod). The roof-top restaurant and the pool were awesome.

Nice but expansive through Expédia

The hotel is very nice But one thing is not OK There is an awful Green plastic mersh in front of all the rooms ( to hide the jungle of the house next door ) And the price was high with Expédia

wonderful place

Drilling noise from neighbouring building work when we arrived, and the following morning, but this stopped when we asked for something to be done. Very helpful staff, always willing to offer advice and suggestions. Excellent food in the restaurant. Beautiful spacious bedroom and bathroom. Thoroughly recommended and we will definitely return.
