Great Hotel, middle of town, 2 blocks from the lake

Posted 18-Jun-2018 on Orbitz
Pros: Close to center strip (Lakeside rd) but not on the strip. 2 blocks from the Lake.
Cons: Asked checkout lady for taxi. She said OK, she picked up a taxi list and phone.10 min later Concierge arrived and said HE was about to call. Not good
Location: Half a block away, on Lakeside Rd strip there are lots of shops, restaurants, excursion planning, massages, bars. Plus the Lake another block away.
Good Hotel, staff spoke good English and was friendly. Room was nice and clean with a good view. Garden outside, massage center on premises, cheaper ones a few blocks away. Hotel was safe, quiet, modern like a USA 3.5 star (almost 4.5 star for Nepal). Restaurant (dinner) had a lot of good food choices, plus a large breakfast. View of Lake and Himalaya mountains is good, but it can be dusty/foggy/hazy with no views many days.

Terrible service and looks nothing like the pics!

We booked a deluxe Mountain View which they did not have. When we asked about this, the guy cranked his neck around the balcony and said, there it is. Didn’t try to apologize or give us the difference in room charge but told us they didn’t have any other rooms and had we booked directly with them, they could have done something about it.

Good hotel, in the center, fair price

Posted 29-Apr-2017
Pros: location, rooms are great, price
Cons: wifi
Location: lots of restaurants and travel agencies, close to the lake
The hotel is great, in the center of pokhara. Sometime the electricity goes off for a minute and sometime the WIFI didn't work but all in all it's a great place.

Great Hotel for the price

Posted 14-Nov-2016
Pros: Everything is new and clean.
Cons: At checkout there was a slight problem booking thru Expedia. The hotel tried to present me with the bill. It was resolved.
Location: The hotel is centrally located in Pokhara. Sites like World Peace Pagoda, Devi Falls, mahendra Cave, bat cave, lake phewa.
The hotel is located walking distance the lake and shopping area. Hotel is new and clean. Staff is very attentive and helpful in setting up tours. Breakfast was wonderful.

This is a new hotel in the Lakeside district. First the positives. The staff is outstanding and very well-trained. Everything visible is first rate. Unfortunately, the owners cut some corners in the less obvious parts of the hotel. The air conditioner simply is not up to cooling the room during what passes for a heat wave in Pokhara. In my room, it was set to 16, when I came in and still never was able to cool more of the room than just the entryway. The Internet was weirdly non-functional, even given the context of a place where glitchy wifi is the norm. This is an OK place if you get a deal, but don't expect it to live up to its promises. It's a three-star hotel in four-star clothing.

Nice place a couple of blocks away from the lakefront road. It has modern amenities and is very well taken care of. Staff are very helpful. Good value for the price
