Comfortable but in need of TLC
Spent a lovely relaxing stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms are basic but comfortable although in need of a good redecorating and tidy up. Found the food at breakfast and dinner very nice and a good choice. Would recommend beach shoes for both beach and sea - great snorkelling. Would definitely return

Good enough could be better
Preferred stay at tropical attitude. Food average, mask wearing needs to better. Hygiene on table cleaning between all uses also needs improving. Strays in dining area annoying however common mauritius problem. Long walk between car and some rooms. Brilliant helpful staff. Nice views

I have well noted that our culinary offer was not as per your expectations, and we do propose a variety of local and international food to our guest. Above all, we do special dishes to meet the taste of every guest and we invite them to share their feedback or preferences during their stay, so we can assist any request and improve their holiday experience! We do have a national concern in terms of stray dogs and cats, Unfortunately, a majority of guest loves them and feed them which encourage them to stay within the hotel premises. We are also taking part of a sterilisation program for these animals, so we can control them on the long term. Beautiful hotel with the most amazing staff. Would definitely come back to stay. Really good location. The food is fantastic, every morning fresh crepes for breakfast!!! Staff would go above and beyond for you - thank you Veena and Donovan .

Great for a nice laid back holiday with little to interrupt you day. Spa on site and water/boating activities available. Clear waters but the beach is covered with rocks so swimming just off the shore of the hotel area is challenging.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. You have wonderful sunsets and I would advise a room that is sea facing aka ocean view. An all inclusive is also a good option if you are going to eat the majority there. You have beautiful snorkeling right off the beach with no jetskis or anything to bother you. It is the perfect holiday for a couple seeking a quiet retreat away from the more busy hotels.

Location and pool were great. Good sized rooms with beach views. Property is run down and really needs some love. Entertainment would be better not having at all. Bottles and glasses were still laying around the next day and not cleaned up. The fish was delicious though and most of the staff went out of their way to help you.

The hotel is shabby, in desperate need of a facelift. Mattheau at reception wonderful and the gentleman who cleaned our room was very good. We stayed at Friday attitude for 6 nights and Recif for 9 nights. Willis not recommend either of them.

Sliding door to bathroom would have best suited a stable. Wash hand basin in bathroom was far too small. Food was well cooked but the evening buffet wasn't to my taste. Dishes were mainly French based.

Was really looking at enjoying my time there. When I got there after one week I felt its not the same service that you initially get on arrival. The longer the stay the worse it is. Its a shame really. I like to stay in one place and just relax. But this experience taught me that I will now also limit my stay to at least 1 or 2 weeks. This was highlighted by other tourist as well.

Beyond Exceptional !!!
My partner and I stayed at Récif Attitude for 10 days. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff at this hotel always went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. From the amazing hotel reception staff to the grounds keepers, cleaning staff, restaurant staff, spa staff and more, everyone was very approachable and always happy to help. This hotel is located on an amazing coastline of the North-West and has a lovely atmosphere. We chose half board and this was a perfect option for us. Each morning and night we were provided with a different buffet with multiple food options to choose from and the meals were amazing. I also highly recommend having a massage at the spa! During my holiday in Mauritius I was hospitalised and on my return to Récif Attitude the staff attended to my needs, asked how I was feeling even 2 days after my refurn. They also provided me with specific meals to help with my recovery. If you are looking for a hotel where you feel well cared for, safe and at a home away from home where you can relax, Récif Attitude should be your choice! After a dissapointing start (room was tired, poor location) hotel management went far beyond necessary to ensure that our stay was very satisfying. They offered numerous amenities and services to overcome our initial dissatisfaction. For the cost, the hotel is a good value. Beautiful views, nice pool, good snorkeling, a satisfying restaurant and friendly staff add up to true value.

Great value hotel
Great time and great stay. Hire a car if you can and explore the island or just chill by the pool. Local taxis are expensive. The hotel is well situated on the north west coast with fantastic snorkelling beaches and amazing sunset views. The hotels a beach front retreat.

We had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very nice it has a very chill and relax atmosphere. The hotel was right on the beach and the view was just amazing. The restaurant and the bar was very well situated and we got enjoy a nice meal facing the ocean which give it a very romantic feel. The restaurant offered very good quality food. Also the staff at recif attitude are really the best, the are very friendly and caring they really do their best to make you have a nice time and you really feel welcome by everyone. During the course of our stay we have a little problem with the bathroom but we really appreciate the fact that the housekeeping manager and the maintenance manger both came to apologised personally. And to apologised and make us feel extra special we were offered free lunch and we were offered a real mauritian feast. Thanks to Sanjeev the housekeeping manager for making that happen. I will also like to thanks the front office team for the fabulous job that they are doing and for upgrading us to a delux seaview room l. It was truly a magical experience. Friendly hotel with great snorkelling
After recovering from our jet-lag we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. My family of six were all accommodated in deluxe rooms all of which were located on the beach side of the complex. Due to the location of the hotel I would thoroughly recommend the 'all inclusive' package which proved to be great value for money. Any minor problems were quickly and efficiently dealt with by the pleasant staff. On our last day the staff even arranged a room we could use once our official check-out time arrived as our scheduled flight home was late in the evening. The beach is virtually private and safe and leads directly onto a large coral reef excellent for snorkelling.

Remarkable Recif!
Recif is a great place to stay, with friendly, welcoming staff who are always attentive. The location is close enough to the great spots in Grand Baie, yes quiet and serene enough to enjoy a peaceful stay.

Great hotel for relaxing. Staff could not do enough to make us happy. Quiet beach, no noise only couples where there when we went. Rooms on the small side and basic but clean and overall well equipped with safe, kettle, fridge, TV, hairdryer etc. Overall would recommend.seaview rooms on the 1st floor are better and more private than ground floor. Barbeque on Fridays is worth the money.

We had a great time during our 10 nights at the Recif hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the pool and beach great. The food was good especially the table d'hote nights. Our room was nice but the bed and ventilation fell slightly short of our expectations.

Budget Hotel on the beach
This is a very basic, no frills all inclusive resort. It was often reviewed as a 4 star hotel, but it's really more of a 3 star. The rooms are very utilitarian with rather uncomfortable beds and almost no character - just white walls and a concrete floor. We had a room on the back side of the hotel facing the road (or rather, the concrete wall between our room and the road) and felt a bit like we had been relegated to the broom closet in some obsolete corner. It was fairly depressing, but on the positive, it got us up and out every day exploring all that the island has to offer rather than sitting around the resort. The pool is quite small, but decent. The beach is very rocky and not good for swimming, but good for snorkeling with nearby coral reefs. The hotel offers basic beach amenities for free - glass bottom boats, snorkeling, kayaking, and has live music or events every evening which we didn't particularly fancy, but the hotel has quite a mixed crowd of honeymooners, backpackers, tourist groups, and lots of retirees, so it surely has to cater to a lot of tastes. Speaking of which, we found the food quite disappointing and expensive for what it is, and we looked elsewhere for all our meals except breakfast (which was very basic and the same offering every day). The bar drinks are also a disappointment.The staff were helpful, but not the friendliest, they always seemed a bit disgruntled.

What a gem! This 3 star hotel is more like a 4 star hotel than many we have stayed at. It was the perfect getaway! The interiors are somewhat basic but stylish and modern and very island style. Our room was, in my opinion, one of the best rooms. You walked straight out of the bedroom onto the poolside and down to the beach. What a pleasure! The room was spacious, clean and there was a bar fridge. The seaviews and the sunsets were stunning. The staff was very helpful and aiming to please. The breakfasts were varied and tasty and they lasted us easily until dinner. The dinners were the only give away that this hotel is a 3 star hotel. The food was a bit bland and boring. We will definitely return, but next time we will probably go for the breakfast only option.

Our recent stay at Le Recif Attitude hotel in Maur
This is a small hotel and ideal location for snorkeling not good for swimming as it does not have a sandy beach. The rooms r small n bathroom is semi private . So its difficult to not disturb your partner. Managment refused to provide tea coffees milk n sugar in the room yet my booking confirmation stated these items will b complimentary. t

A bit disappointing for the price
Comfortable clean rooms. There was a kettle but no tea or sugar supplied. Booking on hotels.com said some free items included in minibar but not even a bottle of water received. Beautiful setting with pool and restaurant on almost on the beach. Food at restaurant mediocre for the price with processed cheese and really cheap cuts of ham for breakfast but great crepes This hotel is not on a swimming beach - you need to wear shoes as beach full of coral and very rocky once in the water. There is good snorkeling just a few feet from the beach so partly made up for it not being a swimming beach. Overall a bit disappointing for what we paid but we still enjoyed our stay. We preferred the merville beach hotel we stayed in two years ago as had a great swimming beach and much better food.

Perfect for relaxing holidays
Inviting, pleasant enviroment. Space to sit and relax under beautiful blooming trees. Although directly at the street no bothering noise. The rooms located in front of the sea, the view stunning. The service people, called family, most of the time friendly. Some especielly, others could try to greet guests and smile more often. The food excellent, on the other hand, all week long buffet for dinner isn't optimal. The rooms are much smaller than we imagined, due to the price of the stay we awaited more space. Just the basics, bed, shower.

Small hotel within swimming distance of reef
Great holiday in this small hotel. Staff v friendly and because it's small get to know you. Drinks lovely and bar has fantastic seating options for watching the sunset. Beach always has loungers and you can swim to the nearby reef for snorkelling. The boat house also does face a day trips a little further out and in a glass bottomed boat if you don't want to get wet. Can't recommend highly enough if you want relaxed low key holiday. If you want all night drinking and dancing though best look elsewhere!

Can't be better
We have booked half board, totally worth it. No one stayed hungry in the morning and evening, although we are big eaters :) Buffet dinner was really good. The beach is not that big but great with the sunloungers. Watching the sunset from the pool was unforgettable. Got beach towels, what we could bring to other beaches too (We loved Mont Choisy). There is a basic gym if you want to use ellipse trainer or threadmill. Can't say anything they could improve. We rent a car, but there are taxis almost all the time outside.

lovely room with sea views
Hotel was small and cosy with very friendly staff.lovely views and a wonderful pool. We had an amazing time. We only went because my daughter was over there, as we have never travelled so far before, but it was so good I would love to go back again. The Hotel manager was extreamely helpful as our plane connection in France was cancelled coming back. he was so helpful and phoned the Airline to confirm if the strike was on or not. Our Booking with Expedia on the other hand, was most unhelpful, and they did not even tell us the flight was cancelled until we got to the airport. After a 12 hour flight we wouldn't have wanted to try finding hotels etc etc, and we would not have been able to cancel our transport home from LHR. Therefore i was able to sort out further accomadation and transport etc etc. Due to the helpful hotel manager Raymond.
