There is construction at this property but the staff really worked to lessen the impact on our stay. It is a great location to museums, universities and dining. The staff really made the difference though.

Our newly renovated room offered a nice view, stylish furniture, and comfortable bed. The hotel was in the midst of a lobby renovation but the staff handled the temporary desk location and other interruptions with aplomb. Hope we get back when the work is complete.

Overall it was very nice. Unfortunately it was under construction at the time we stayed. We did not know this when we booked, fortunately it didn’t impact our stay.

Overall, fine. The fact that there was extensive renovations going on that we were not notified about was inexcusable. While the website mentions renovations, it only mentions that the pool and gym would be closed, not that there would be horrendous construction noise at times (I was trying to get work done) and that they couldn’t tell us until each morning if the water would off. Ridiculous!

Staff were wonderful. I just wish I had known the property was undergoing renovations, so many aspects (pool, luggage storage, etc.) were unavailable during our stay. I look forward to a return visit when everything is open again.

The property was under renovation, but it still looked nice and the floor and room we stayed in was renovated recently. The staff was very friendly too. It was perfect for our quick visit to Pittsburgh.

This property is being renovated and this should have been shared prior to booking. There was construction noise directly overhead including on weekend days and there were water restrictions on some days. Also no luggage storage. Prior email said hotel was “newly enhanced” which stretches the truth. This reflects poorly on the reliability of Expedia listings. I would not have booked this hotel if I knew there would be weekend construction noise.

They gave away our room!!!!! I called around 5 pm to confirm, we traveled 5 1/2 hours, and they sent us to an overcrowded hotel that’s took us 1 1/2 hours to check into and that took us 3 hours to check out of the next day wasting half the day. We all ended up sick after all this.

We arrived at midnight to find out that there was no room at the inn. Rooms under renovation were reserved. They knew up until the day of our arrival that they did not have enough rooms for people, yet did not inform us. We were moved to a hotel about a mile away. The room was smaller than the one we had reserved and had one less bed than we needed. The heating unit sounded like a turbine all night long.

The water was shut off at 8am and I was not told this was going to be the case before checking in. I could not get ready for work because of it. The whole hotel seems to be under construction.

We chose this hotel due to the convenient location to UPitt and touring the school. Price was also very reasonable. Staff was very courteous and helpful. But the bathroom was not great. Toilet ran continuously. Maintenance came to fix but things did not improve. Sink and counter were very low and the shower head tilted at the wall making it hard to wash you hair. The bed was not comfortable (very firm) but the bedding was decent. Finally the walls are pretty thin at this hotel so if your neighbors are having a good time, you will know about it.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom looked like it was in the middle of repair. Sparkling had been done but not sanded or painted. There was a hole in the wall with a Kleenex box stuck in it. The sink/counter was so small there was little room for toiletries yet the room was large and could easily have accommodated a larger one. The ice machine in the hall wasn’t working. Staff was nice and helpful. The hotel just feels old and in need of freshening.

We probably will not be staying here again. It has been a loooong time since I stayed at a hotel with no refrigerator so our cheeses had to go bad overnight. No microwave either. Room not equipped for multiple people to get ready for a night out. We had to move around the lamp so that we could plug everything in properly. Another disappointing fact, there are no USB adapters in the room. Usually when I travel they are attached to the lamp between the beds but there was not one. Two phones… for what?! Breakfast was advertised as a buffet and it was actually a pay-to-order, made to order, breakfast… left a lot to be desired. The pool and laundry facilities are closed due to a remodel, this inconvenience should have qualified us for a breakfast coupon at the least. No free lobby coffee??? lol wild af for a Wyndham.

Parking was HORRIBLE and clerk instructed me to park my vehicle in the hotel parking lot which ended up being about 15 tiny spots in front of the hotel. Only to find out they charged be almost $50 to park in this lot. Never Again!!!!

The hotel did not disclose that the gym and swimming pool were closed and unavailable due to construction. These amenities were one of the reasons I had decided to book a room at this hotel. Additionally, I was assigned a room with a door connecting to the room next door, where there was a family of (at least) 4. Lots of noise and screaming until late hours (1-2 am). One of my worst experiences at a hotel.

There was so much wrong with this stay. And so disappointed considering it’s the time of year to feel HAPPY, our stay was quite miserable. NOWHERE did the property state that the pool or gym was closed due to construction. Not on Expedia, nor their own site. So, the children were miserable. Strike one. Additionally, we were under the impression that free breakfast was included in our booking. It was not. Strike two. Parking was OUTRAGEOUS. Over $100 dollars for 2 days… not even 2 FULL days… And when I pointed out that the per car, par day wasn’t mentioned, I was told “that’s implied.” The gentleman working the first night were very kind and polite but, that unfortunately, doesn’t make up for the overall bad time we and our children experienced.
