Good location, situated on edge of Karon beach, just next to Kata beack, both lovely. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, lots of trees and wooden walkways. Adults only pool and Club lounge offering teas and coffees through the day.

Hotel was nice. Rooms are pretty small. Didn’t care for their breakfast buffet, I wish they had a more authentic Thai breakfast. Considering Phuket is a very tourist area, it was still hard to communicate with the staff. Also wish they had a complimentary shuttle to the airport.

An okay place, but I wouldn’t stay there again.
The hotel itself is beautiful and we had okay customer service for the most part. Everyone was polite and friendly. It has a beautiful location and they will Take you back and forth to the Main Street in a Tuk Tuk so you don’t have to walk up and down the hill. It is more than an hour to get to from the airport and will cost you about 1200 bhat each way. They broke one of our bags when the bellhop was bringing our bag to the rooms for us, but refused to take responsibility for it. They said it must have happened at the airport, however it was working correctly when we arrived at the hotel. They also tried to put three people in a room with one king size bed until we made them change it. Lastly, the room was INCREDIBLY humid at night because there are visible gaps in the window seals and the humidity gets into the room. They did offer is one night of vouchers for the dinner buffet to try to make us happy which was okay, but by that point we were so frustrated with the bag being broken and not being able to sleep well due to the humidity in the room at night that it really didn’t make a difference.

It is on a little hill but not far from the beach. There is a tuk tuk runs up and down the hill at your convenience. We got there a bit early but the room was already ready for us and they let us in early! Good things- Friendly staff, spacious room( we were upgraded), nice pools, a games room for kids, Picnic mats - very useful Free shuttle to Parong Things need to improve Bathroom sink needed a bit of fixing- the cleaning lady must have seen it but she just left it unattended which I found very odd. Kids club is just a sad looking playground. It looked empty all the time we were staying. Overall, we were very happy with the resort.

Pros: Lovely location, relatively quiet depending on room location, food choice (breakfast) excellent. Cons: Steep hill, mini mart expensive and not much choice, theme nights expensive, pool regulations clearly sign posted not adhered too (kids jumping and diving, using water guns) not a very relaxing atmosphere. Having the luxury of 2 pools maybe one should be adults only!!

Nice design of pool and garden area. The gym is good too. Room was really nice. Location is good, can walk to Kata beach. Some reception staff is rude and needs more training. An email has been sent to the management about a few matters. Food in breakfast buffet is poor. Rice wasnt even cooked properly or overheated b4 servuce. Poor selection and variety of food.

A great stay at the Horizon Beach Club resort. Great food - superb staff and nice resort. Would highly recommend. Really relaxing vacation which was exactly what we wanted. Had a late flight out so asked for a later check out. Originally said it was not possible but they then called to say that we could check out 2 hours late for free. Awesome. As I said very accommodating staff and highly recommended.

A Thailand styled resort with some age, but in great condition. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and had plenty of amenities. Easy to get around the resort, to the pools etc. Great breakfast outside on covered porch. Beautiful gardens and swiming pools. Great place to stay and easy to get around. Just down the hill plenty of restaurants/shops and they have a fast shuttle to get you up and down the hill. Fun place with great staff.

When we checked in, we found out they were kind enough to upgrade us to club except we have a 15 year old son and the minimum age is 18. Thus we had to change rooms the next day so we didn’t really settle in until the following afternoon. It wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but it was a pain. They did their best to make us happy as rules are rules. They graciously let us have a late check out on the last day. All in all the resort is fine. It is dated but most are in Phuket. Our toilet required ZERO paper products, which is why I rated the facilities average. For those new to Phuket, be prepared for a more undeveloped atmosphere than the Caribbean.

Perfect location & staff are really great. Rooms are very basic and dated. We wish we had upgraded to a nicer room. Karon beach is lovely & hotel offers a free shuttle to their sister hotel in Patong which is very useful! Facilities are very nice- it was just a shame about the room but you get what you pay for! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall a nice hotel, a few hick ups with staff telling me one thing and then finding out that it was not true. Leak in bathroom not fixed when reported, but the shower head was replaced as it was faulty. OUR ROOM ATTENDANT WAS JUST LOVELY. Would stay again although food is not great, in fact its needs to be addressed.

Great location within walking distance to lots of restaurants, shopping and the beach. The resort is up on a hill and away enough from the busy streets so you can enjoy some peace and quiet when needed. Breakfast buffet was amazing!

Horrible first impression but inproved over time
Initially we were placed in a smaller, cheaper room then what we'd paid for. It was in a horrible location of the resort. We walked through the beautiful grounds of the resort only to be led to a dark dank area with smelly public bathrooms, a flickering overhead light, and a musty odor to accompany our ugly view of the resort's huge blue water barrels. Once inside the room I saw that all the shelves were dirty and or dusty, the shower curtain had spots of mold, and there was a streak of dried blood on the outer part of the bathroom sink. Clearly this room hadn't been properly cleaned. Then, to make matters worse, I find out later in the evening that THIS ENTIRE RESORT DOES NOT PERMIT GUESTS TO FLUSH USED TOILET PAPER DOWN THE TOILET! I do not understand how a resort can be considered 4 Stars when their guests are forced to put used toilet paper into their trash cans. When I spoke to the front desk regarding the toilets, they initially tried to claim that this is the case in ALL of Thailand. Yet when I told them the toilets in Bangkok worked fine, they lied again and claimed all of the toilets within Phuket are unable to flush toilet paper.Despite these many mishaps, Horizon refused to give us any money back or permit us to check-out early. There was never even an apology. There was an attitude that since they already had our money, we were stuck and they couldn't have cared less about our discomfort, or about the fact that we'd been given the wrong room.

Definitely not a 4 star. Very dated, not clean and everything was old. Upgraded to The Privilege Club side of the hotel but still not great. Won’t be returning.

Disappointing Stay
We were disappointed with the Resort. Our first room had a horrible smell. We spoke to someone at reception and we were moved to a different room. The new room was better (i.e. no smell) however it wasn’t very clean, the bed was awful and the room looked run down. The next day we got a phone call from reception about our room. When we went to reception to ask what the phone call was about we were told that no-one had phoned. We waited for an hour for someone to phone us back and no-one ever did. Breakfast in the morning was good. Dinner on the first night was ok but over priced. The pool area was lovely. Given the number of hotels/resorts nearby I’m not sure we would choose to stay here again. The hotel is advertised as a four star but felt more like a three star.

Good stay in Karon
Good location for a family. Away from the craziness if Bangla Road and other hotspots. It's smack at the junction between Karon and Kata beaches. Loads of eateries and shops in both directions. Except the hotel being up a hill. There's a tuk-tuk to bring you down but at night we couldn't find the phone booth we are supposed to use to call it again to bring it up. We are quite fit but it was still a struggle making it back up while carrying my boy at the end of tired day. They also provide transport to the Ir other hotel in Patong which is awesome. Except the first bus is only at 1.30pm so if you want to go earlier you'll need to get something else. The hotel grounds are big with lots of steps which can get slippery when wet. The costlier rooms are right next to reception and have their private pool so you can avoid the walk if you take that. The pool was nice and there are 3 in the main areas. The gym was adequate for our short stay. Had I stayed a week iy would not have been. Children's club was decent. We bought the buffet dinner for 2 from reception and our 4yr old was supposed to be free, however the restaurant guys tried to charge us after we had finished our meal. Hotel provided beach towels, mats and umbrellas. The beach close to the hotel ( down the hill and across the road) was not usable due to mo soons but we brought them to patong and had a great time there. Overall would defo consider this place again.
