Check in was a disappointment, reservation was listed as Villa 4, but upon check in it changed from Villa 8 to finally Villa 2. which was so degraded from years of neglect. We finally ended up in Villa 3 because of problems in Villa 2. Changed from Villa 2 to Villa 3 late at night, went to hot springs and then returned to Villa 3 to shower and get ready for bed only to find the hot water was turned off. Took until next day to get that back. Villa 3 had a private pool and hot tub so the price was higher during the weekend but the pool was dirty and cold, hot tub was incredibly mold covered. Someone came over and pored some chemicals in and called it good? The restaurant was a bright spot but got shut down by Health District on the last evening of our stay. However Ginny the restaurant manager was a breath of fresh air in her assistance to help rescue our ill fated vacation. Front desk employees were very unhelpful. This is a shame because after much searching this place stood out because of all the pools at different temperates. This could be a 4 star rated resort if the owner would invest in the property and elevate the surrounding. I have stayed in several lodging environments in the US and abroad including B&B's and hostels and this was the worst I have ever encountered. It showed a lack of concern for the lodger and it shows in other reviews. I am not a picky traveler, and I thought that was the reason for the poor reviews but learned that those complaints were just.
