American Dream Meadowlands and Sunset Park are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Times Square and Macy's. Central Park Zoo and Chelsea Piers are not to be missed. Our guests love the hotel's location for the nightlife. It's also convenient for public transport: 49th St. Station is 3 minutes by foot and Times Sq. - 42 St. Station is 8 minutes.

I paid for double king beds on Expedia. When I got my confirmation email, the type of room didn’t get reflected so we call Expedia and they said they confirmed with paramount. However when we checked in, they said they don’t have any 2 king bed room in their property and provides no further explanation.
The lobby was very cozy and welcoming and the staff were very helpful
The lobby area is very nice. The hotel bed is very hard. The tub is old so it looks dirty even though it is not. The bathroom is so small and cramped you can't move around. No fridge or microwave in the room. Housecleaning starts cleaning other rooms around 8am, and they make so much noise, and have loud conversations, including over a walkie talkie that you are forced to wake up early every morning. Half of the security staff and the doorman is very helpful. The other half refused to take a picture of me when I asked, even questioned if I was a hotel guest. The hotel is in an excellent location. However, they were honest with me when I got there. There are NO Times Squares view rooms. I felt safe, you need a room key to use the elevator and even to get in the bathroom in the lobby.
Stayed at Paramount for the first time in 1994 and i still like it. you cant beat the location. Rooms are good and clean. I get there will be some wear as all the people that come through, but mattresses, A/C fan, plumbing could use some updating, but not a deal breaker.
