Great location and amenities are nice. However, when we checked in we went to our room only to find out that it was not the room we reserved. I called the front desk and was told they oversold and our room was not available. I requested that something be done; money savings, a room upgrade, or the exact room we purchased. I was told we could not obtain the room we purchased because they were oversold and none were available. I was then told because I requested a room upgrade he would look into that and I should wait in the room that we were currently in. After more than 30 minutes I called again and was told he was working on it but there was nothing he could really do and he had been busy at the front desk. I then insisted on getting an upgrade or money back and he told me he would call me in about 10 minutes. Somehow they were able to obtain a room that I purchased. Overall it was very frustrating to have to call multiple times, to be put in a room of lesser grade than was purchased, and to not be told about it up front. We booked in early October. The rest of the stay was nice, but I will consider other nearby hotels in the future. The check-in behavior was unacceptable and I would expect more from a hotel that was averaging almost $400 per night.
