This was my second stay at these apartments and it was a much better experience this time. Great service and front office couldn’t have been more helpful. Just an ideal location and perfect for the Grand Prix. Can’t wait to go back there

Great location & excellent communication from Camilla at reception. The room was spacious & bed ultra-comfortable. Lovely having a balcony & it felt very private. Be aware that if you require parking it is accessed in the street behind the hotel & the room key is required to enter & exit. Overall had a great stay and good value for money.

Decent for the price
Check in was very easy, attentive staff who messaged me to make sure I made it in before reception closed at 4pm. Upon getting to the floor I noticed a very bad smell like bad food or old bins. In the room it was fine though. The room was very basic with cheap furniture but clean and big enough.

I really liked this place but there were certain aspects that disappointed me. Stayed for three nights, and not once during the stay was rubbish emptied or bath towels replaced. The TV only had half the stations working and no Foxtel despite it stating otherwise. It took an eternity for the shower to warm up, wasting stacks of water, while I don’t think reception had staff in it once during the entire stay. I did email these concerns to the apartment as well once I left but as yet haven’t heard a response, so you do feel like there is no one listening or caring. Despite all that, the apartment setup was great, top location and parking was a breeze. Stacks of food and transport options too.

Location was excellent for what we needed. The room was clean including the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The balcony and outdoor furniture were covered in dust/dirt and wasn't able to go out onto the balcony or use the furniture. No view faced a brick wall and AC units. Room smelt really bad. Arrived after hours but the instructions were excellent including getting into the car parking. Car parking $30 per night was expensive in my opinion.

John was very friendly and helpful. Very accommodating too. We booked the studio room and it was very comfortable. Loved having the washer and dryer, and also the kitchenette. The location was perfect, close to food and public transport. Very convenient as we travelled around using public transport.

Great location although our room was overlooking the railway - if you don’t like noise it would not be ideal. It didn’t bother us but it would have been nice to know. Our room was clean and comfortable- although we did book a 2 bed and 2 bath and got only one bathroom… again - didn’t matter too much but would have been good to know.

Lazy and substandard cleaning and maintenance.
We first stayed about 10 years ago and have come back about 5 times. The last couple of times standards had slipped. This time we stayed 5 nights, bed not made at all. Bathroom uncleaned, mould in shower, floor covered in washing detergent, ceiling covered in fluff from clothes dryer. Our daughter’s room next door had a non operative fan in their bathroom, so not allowed to use clothes dryer. Our other daughter had two adjoining rooms, no hot water in either bathroom for their stay. Breakfasts delivered under booking deal were fewer than ordered. Reception closed at 4pm and not open on long weekend at all. The receptionist was lovely, but with so many other options in the area, I doubt we will come back.

The limited reception hours made contact difficult and the 4 emails sent beforehand were confusing but once I arrived everything went very smoothly. The bed was very comfortable, the room had everything I needed and was very quiet. I would have liked soap in the bathroom instead the tube of body wash.

Worst of the bunch...
Horrible experience from the minute the disgruntled desk clerk greeted me. Read me the right act on 2pm check in instead of seeing if an early check in was available - I explained it's quite ok if not, but could you look? Then flatly said rooms aren't available until 2pm. The room was tiny, poky, smelt of chlorine and the cutlery wasn't clean. The floor I was staying on smelt of Marijuana throughout the stay. Was entitled to a complimentary breakfast as part of the gold perk. That wasn't offered! I stay in the area 3-7 nights a month and had a future booking for this property which I cancelled. Fortunately, there are many great options in the area that means customers don't have to put up with ordinary service / poor value.

Older property with carpet in the hall ways worn, tiles in kitchen loose on the floor, kitchen fan broken, pool has been closed for months and months even prior to CV-19, gym also closed because they might have to do additional cleaning, front desk always with a smart answer, this property also removed any Expedia VIP benefits and when they did honor it they were very inconsistent in delivery. If you get any mail delivered here during your stay it might get returned because they are too lazy to check the mailbox and if you do get any package notices you have to go to the post office to get them and they have the maintenance guy deliver the notice who bangs on your door like the police doing a raid. I’ll continue to suggest my friends and colleagues avoid this property and will post my comments on other social media sites to suggest having them avoid staying here. There are much better options that I will be exploring for next time and I’ll suggest they do the same.

Please accept our sincerest apology for your experience. As Amity Apartment Hotels wants all guests to be happy in their surroundings we are happy to refund any unused portion of your non refundable accommodation so that you can choose a property that better suits your needs, please see reception. The building that Amity Apartment Hotels occupies is made up of both serviced and residential apartments and as such the property common areas which you are unhappy with such as worn carpet in hallways, the closed GYM and the closed outdoor pool area are all managed and governed by BCS body Corporate and the building manager and are not in the direct control of Amity Apartment Hotels, so whilst we understand your disappointment and have passed on your feedback to all concerned this is out of the businesses control. Our maintenance man has now been advised of the loose kitchen tiles and broken fan however as you had not reported this in the past we were unaware of the issue, this issue will now be addressed. Again thank you for taking the time in providing your feedback. The Management team.

The pool has been closed for months even before CV-19. Gym is closed due to CV-19 and no projected date to open either. Continental breakfast has improved. Front desk folks seem cordial.

repeatedly asked about delivery of orange juice with my continental breakfast, only to be told by the front desk they would ask the owner if more could be ordered. They have cases of it in the luggage room I saw this past week. Owner was never asked either. Also my breakfast is left on the dirty floor outside my apt. What happened to knocking and putting in the refrigerator? Gone from being OK to a place I wouldn't recommend.
