Fantastic resort! Beautiful nature, delicious food, great spa. Definitely recommend making the extra effort to get here (20-minutes local flight boat). The best price for quality.

Royal Island Resort and Spa is one of the best resorts in the world. I spent one week there and I really loved it. It was an amazing experience. Everyone is friendly. The staff make you feel like you’re home and one of the family. The amenities are available to everyone. You will find mostly everything there. You just need to enjoy your time. I recommend it to everyone. Just go and you will love it.

Perfect, pristine, paradise.
Perfect pristine paradise, just as you expect in the Maldives. All villas are on their own stretch of gorgeous white beach. The island is very well maintained and we especially liked the flowers and gardens. Great food and drinks, and lots of water sport activities. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and cheerful.

Wonderful Resort! Absolutely Beautiful!
I loved this resort. We had a Beach Villa and everything was so nice, clean and private. There are a lot of things to do on the island including water sports, snorkeling, nighttime dancing on their dance floor, pool tables, a little library with books to read, plenty of pillow swings everywhere to swing while looking at the ocean, walking on the beach... lots of shade trees! There were a lot of kids there and they all seemed to love it because there was plenty of things for them to do. Also, the food and staff were all great! I will definitely be back to this resort!

Очень красивый домашний риф, не маленький очень зелёный остров-есть где погулять, хорошие корты и спорт. активити. Проблемный долгий трансфер с длительной стыковкой- большая потеря времени по прибытии и при отъезде. Скромные домики (до виллы далеко), но очень приветливый, душевный персонал, хорошо убираются несколько раз в день.Всего два ресторана. Главный ресторан похож на столовку, но блюда гриль отлично готовят. Вино по all inclusive -помои... У главного пирса много серых акул-1,5-2 м. Один раз напали две- отбился ластами и пришлось на камни вылазить. Причина - стаф втихаря кормит из в угоду туристам... Также и от других отдыхающих слышал подобное об этом месте. В других частях острова акул очень мало и то в основном маленькие рифовые...

Royal Island Resort Family visit
The overall experience was good. Staff were very courteous and welcoming. Villa was nice with own private beach. Ambience was good. However we were on an All Inclusive deal and the food quality was not upto the mark.

Excellent resort but crazy flight costs
Like all Maldive resorts you expect to be ripped off. The actual cost of staying in the resort was reasonable enough. It is the extras such as $550 for a 20 minute flight from Male you can book direct for $40......the 20 minute flight from Male cost more than the four hour flight from Bangkok!!. A 12$ mask and snorkel was priced $52 in the resort store. Having said that I found the staff exceptionally good, the food very good (my wife gained 5lbs in a week) and overall we loved the resort. We had a wonderful time.

It is a beautiful island with friendly staff and white sandy beaches. There is a small reef around the island, but most of it is dead. You still get to see some fish and some black- and white-tipped reef sharks. We went B&B which gave us the oppertunity to eat much more cheaply at the pool bar which does excellent meals. We also enjoyed the a la carte restaurant by the beach which cost us as much as the buffet would have done but with drinks. Thought this much better value than buffet every night where you feel obliged to eat so much to get your $50 worth!

A good short break to destress!
Overall, my friend and I had a good holiday, although it did start off a bit badly with our room with twin beds not being ready until 6.30 pm, when we had arrived at 4.30 pm. As we had booked at the last minute, we were also unable to get one of the beach view villas, which appeared to be in better condition than our garden view villa, and which were of course more convenient for snorkeling. At the house reef beyond the stone wall around the island, we were able to see different fishes, and even sharks and a hawksbill turtle, although the corals were a bit bleached. This bleaching was also apparent at excursions to see mantas and turtles. I hope to see more efforts at the rebuilding of house reefs, as well as worldwide efforts to cut down temperature rise and deleterious climate change.

Bit Outdated Rooms but Great Price & Hotel
The transfers were very easy, however it is quite far from the main Male airport and takes about 2 hours to get there in total. Food was great, entertainment and staff though the rooms were a bit outdated and could use a remodel - Price per night reflects this though, in comparison to the rest of the Maldives.

Hotel, food, the beach are excellent but pricy .
The watersports activities were brilliant, especially Elvis is a very experienced and caring person, he did everything to make sure we enjoyed the holiday and water activities, very attentive to everyone and always was concerned about the safety and the time spent using sporting facilities, manages his team prescisly to their abilities and all together it's a great , always smiling and skilful team, really recommend all the water activities! The massage on the beach was always awesome:)

I could not believe the idyll beauty
A sort of honeymoon. My wife was 3 months pregnant. I have seen white beaches in photos before. The entire holiday. Island Resort,Villas, Food , Staff and the weather was as if photo shopped in real life. The staff were soo utterly polite and helpful.

Hotel is very old, out dated. I have not used a tube tv for over 15 years. Cleaning service non existent!

Excellent Resort
The Royal Island Resort & Spa provides splendid beachfront just outside your villa style room. I very much enjoyed my walks along the beach surrounding the island and breathtaking views of the sunset. Snorkeling on site was wonderful, especially around the service jetty pier and the reef areas that surround the island. Royal Island Resort & Spa also provides excellent indoor recreational facilities including table tennis, badmington, racquetball & squash.... especially useful on a rainy day.

Romantic Beach Resort
Really glad that we picked this island for our honeymoon! Complimentary dinner, champagne and fruit basket as part of the honeymoon offer just made our stay at this resort even better! Everything is terrific except the extra journey to the island is long, which involved a domestic flight and a boat ride. However the service was great that we had people handling the luggage throughout the transfer. Wished I knew this earlier then I would have stayed in Male for that night and did the transfer next morning. Interaction with other guests was minimum as we were told that the island is popular amongst Russians and Germans. The island doesn't offer much entertainment but plenty of water sports and activities. We spent a lot of time at the bar drinking cocktails and using the free wifi as wifi are not available from the rooms. Overall a good experience! spectacular views and had some relaxing time on the island.

One of the best holidays I have ever had. I planned my honeymoon there and there was not a single opportunity for dissappointment. Just perfect. The honeymoon dinner by the beach was lovely aswell. Very courteous staff and always willing to help. I stayed by the beach (room 105) and really loved it. We will visit again. Love. Adwaita & Sreevidya
