The area around the Ramada is an interesting mix of nicely maintained 1950's neighborhoods, some homeless elements, a beautiful !!! Islamic mosque and two large movie production lots: Sony Pictures and Fox. Amazing to see the hugeness of the soundstage buildings!
The hotel featured 'free breakfast". The free breakfast was very limited when compared to Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn Garden Suites.
No eggs, no yogurt, no fruit (apples / oranges or bananas). They did have small boxes of Kellogg's cereal; - but only the kind for kids with lots of added sugar. The pancakes were pre-made and wrapped in cellophane. You heated them in the microwave served it with imitation maple syrup.
We took our chances on local dining and were delighted with a small Thai restaurant, 'Taste Kitchen' and a nice breakfast place, 'Metro Cafe'. 'Tito's Tacos' was just a block away.
There was no coffee maker in the room. First time I have ever seen a hotel room without a coffee maker. Our room key did give us entrance to the breakfast room where we could heat water for coffee or tea, or re-heat left over items from restaurant meals.
I do appreciate the ice machine. It helped us and other guest keep snacks and leftovers chilled.
