Friendly, helpful staff. Upon request, they switched me to a room with a tub. Clean, quiet room. I’m 61 and was traveling alone. Walked to the beach in flip flops then took them off to walk barefoot. Soaked in the outdoor hot tub, swam in the outdoor pool, where friendly families were enjoying themselves. I enjoyed the ladies’ steam room and sauna and met lovely women to talk to. Downtown Santa Monica itself has, unfortunately, post-COVID has lost its unique charm and seems on its way to being a “sustainable city” with homeless people and only corporate chains. The hotel, however, was wonderful.

The hotel is beautiful, its in a great location and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. For what we paid I was little disappointed that we had to ask on two separate occasions for them to swap out the coffee cups in the room and to refill the Kurig cups. We took advantage of the coffee concession in the lobby but when we wanted a second cup of coffee in the room they hadn't been refreshed. Don't mind asking in a $200.00 per room hotel but they should have been hand-delivered on a tray at $650.00 per night. Otherwise, nice hotel and nice stay.

Great property in a great location. Santa Monica is no longer the hot-spot it used to be. On the week I was here I was pleasantly surprised at how un-crowded and cleaned-up Santa Monica was. A lot of bars and restaurants close earlier at night, too. The staff at this hotel were great, however, I think the bar was way over-priced. Most of the bars and restaurants in Santa Monica are anyway, but the bar prices here were ridiculous. The location of this property is the best part, as everything around it is very walkable, and you are close to a lot of great spots. I would definitely come back.

Great place to stau by Santa Monica Pier
The stay was wonderful. We were allowed to check in early and we were given a great room with a terrific view of the Santa Monica pier and Pacific Park. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

My daughter and I stayed for a Harry Styles concert in LA. The property and staff were amazing! We were greeted with a glass of champagne and upgraded at check-in. The staff was amazing and the property was very clean, close to the beach, pier and shopping. The only downfall was that I had to check-out! Loved my stay!

Service is spotty. It was nearly impossible to get my room cleaned even after requesting and calling multi mole times throughout the day. Valet and bell staff are great. They didn’t put out the patio cushions all day even though the rain forecast was starting at 6 pm

This is one star hotel on the ocean
This hotel is closing in a few months you should avoid it until then. Very dated property and poor service, as an example there was no water in my room. I paid 1,000 for one night and no water? The soap was cheap stuff wrapped in plastic, cheeeaap.

Hotel was very nice, well kept, safe and private, but price was high. Convenient location, walkable to local shopping, restaurants, etc. The only disappointment was the "balcony", only one person could stand on the balcony because it was so small.

Due to a cancellation of a flight home treated my family to a stay at this property. At no fault to the property, the weather was bad however the property itself and everything in it ranging from the room, staff, amenities and experience was perfect! After sitting the airport for 12 hours, we booked here and arrived safely. The Korean Wings in the bar and burger were amazing! We had a tremendous sleep then were provided umbrellas to go for a walk on the pier and nearby area. We came back, enjoyed a workout then hopped in the heated pool. I can't say enough about this property, just wish the weather was better and that we could enjoy the beach! Will visit again someday if we go back to LA.

Exceptional experience and stay!
I booked Loews a couple months prior to travelling for a special occasion - I was planning to propose to my partner. I was communicating with the staff prior to arrival and they were amazing. When I arrived I was greeting with such friendly staff at reception and when I checked in I got the whole 'so you are the one proposing'. That made me feel special and then was told that there was a bottle of champagne in the room on ice. This was absolutely a delight. Then I liaise with a gentleman named Dylan who was the manager at the restaurant down stairs Blue Streak (amazing by the way!) and he was exceptional, he went above and beyond to organise a special area for me to propose, there were 2 high back chairs overlooking the sunset and some champagne. I cant say how gratefully I was for his help and guidance!! The hotel was amazing, rooms amazing, great reception area that leads into dining and our dinning which was gorgeous! Firepits amazing!! Pool and spa were heating which was great as we could go swimming in December!! Great and memorable experience! Extra Bonus - golden hour happy hour with drinks and nibbles!! Definitely value for $$

A lot of hidden fees. Announcement that "Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM" was misleading since you have to pay extra for breakfast. For those of us who wear diamonds on only one finger, the breakfast is not complimentary and you'll be charged at every possible opportunity.
