Avoid the rooms that have no windows- sewage smell
Due to last minute switching of hotels I booked a room that didn't have windows. There was a musty smell but it was too late to worry about it at check in. The next morning the sewage smell was much stronger to the point I needed to keep the door propped open while I rushed to get ready and get out. The weird thing wa that this was on the 2nd floor and the hallway air was fine. Recommend you avoid non-window rooms at this hotel. Otherwise the hotel seems nice.

Disappointing, weird rooms too hot.
An electric chair fashioned with some old hosepipe does not a boutique hotel make... Firstly, on arrival in the room, the aircon was set to 27 degC heating - it was swealtering, and completely wasteful to do that, seemingly in all rooms. Secondly, the rooms are basically just pods with an old, tired, bathroom block. Reasonably well appointed, but just not well thought through. Also, the noise. Someone was mopping the bathroom next door at about 1am, and I could hear every moment of it. I was on the ground floor so expected some noise, but this was surprisingly poor. Lastly, breakfast was basic. The juice was watered down concentrate and not great. Coffee was mediocre, and the hot breakfast was on a par with some of the cheapest hotels I've visited. Sorry, but the redesign might look pretty but the result is frankly not as good as it could have been.

1. We booked a No Window room because that was the only room available for our dates..BIG MISTAKE..its like sitting in a big grave, we could'nt tell what the weather outside is like to dress properly. 2. The lighting in the room is very dim, there is no window already and they only have one small bulb and two small bed side lamps, we had to rely on the bathroom light to see things. 3.there is no amenities in the room except soap, shampoo, shower gel and towels, no toothbrush. 4.when cleaning the room the don't change the bed sheets or pillow cases. 5. The room had many useless wood furniture that took so much space in an already small room, if replaced with one long table would've been much more helpful. 6. Lastly and MOST IMPORTANTLY be very careful with your belongings, I had my sunglasses stolen there, and since it was taken out of the case and put the case back in its place I haven't noticed it missing until it was actually sunny in london and I had to use it, when I informed the staff they said they will investigate, and the reply came that no one entered the room except us and the cleaning lady who was working with them for 30 years and they trust her, so basically either I stole my own sunglass or it evaporated on its own, they told me I can call the police if I want, but I didn't have time to waste calling the police just for a sunglass even though it was expensive. Bottom line is always carry your valuable belongings with you when you leave your room.

The room was cold and there was no heater. There was no assistance and when I called no one picked up and the number was just going to the IVR. I went down and asked in the bar, there was a guy in the bar who asked me to use the AC as the heater. My 1 month old was feeling cold and we had difficulty getting the baby to sleep. There was also no fridge in the room, I had to come to the bar and request to keep the baby milk in the bar. Poor service was provided for such a costly room.

Something different but great
A "different" hotel in the good sense of the word. The room was not too big but very comfortable and clean. The service was great despite not having a traditional reception area. There was always somebody to help and they did so with pleasure. The breakfast was ok, nothing special, the only inconvenience was the crowd in the morning. The location was convenient as well.

Great hotel but rushed service
When eating / drinking in the restaurant the staff want to clear your plates moments after you get the last piece of food on the fork... Lovely modern hotel but some items in the room didn't work.

Mildly disappointing stay
My family and I stayed at The Corner London City for our first post pandemic summer vacation. The stay was fine but there were a few somewhat frustrating issues. 1. There is not always a dedicated staff member at front of the hotel (check in and checkout is done via screen) so if you have a need or question, you will need to talk to the bartender who is busy being a bartender. 2. We stayed in the deluxe king room as a family of 3. We thought deluxe would include couch b/c we indicated the age of our child, but it is only a king bed. The cot can be purchased for $25 a night - not a lot, but not trivial if your vacation is over a week. 3. There are automated coffee machines on all of the floors. Ours worked once. The remainder of our stay we would walk up or down the stairs hoping that floor's would work. There is one on the ground floor that was the most reliable.

This property is a remodeled one. The area around it is very unsafe to be quite frank. With a lot of homeless people. Rooms are tiny and box sized. The towels weren’t clean one of them had blood looking thing on it. The staff is kind and helpful. But overall experience is bad. The beds have TV attached to them and a weird light which hits your feet. It’s dumb, the TV can be wall mounted. The space between the bed and walls is minimal always hitting your knee or toes. Wouldn’t recommend.

Breakfast was poor; too busy for staff to handle. Was moved twice and even asked to have strangers join my already cramped table. Quality of food was very average.
