An apology would of gone a long way
My friend got to check in before me, was asked for our reference number serval times, and they still managed to struggle to find our booking. On top of that the young guy at the desk had checked us into someone else name who hadn’t paid, and was insistent we wasn’t the ones who paid. So we ended up double paying, to then be put in the wrong room. When it was eventually sorted out the room was decent, but the floor was dirty. Considering what we had gone through there was no meaningful apology given, even when we spoke to the manager - no mention of sorry for the inconvenience caused to us.
