We booked Della once again in August 2014 following an awesome experience during our initial stay in February 2014. However, this time we upgraded from Camp Della to Luxury room. This was our "GRAVE MISTAKE".
Jimmy Mistry gave us all the luxury he promised but compromised on his staff. One major issue was a lack of communication.
The entry to the resort was grand but we got the first shock the moment we entered our room. Even though it was requested at the time of booking, the luxury room had two single beds instead of a double bed. The front desk said they would get it sorted soon. On the other hand, when we spoke to someone from the housekeeping staff after a few hours, we were told that it could have been done immediately if the front desk had asked them to. This is just one example of miscommunication.
There was a group which had put up in the next room to ours was at the sit-out making noise at 3 am. We had to request the front desk twice and yet it took them over an hour to resolve this. Such negligence is quite inexcusable.
Moreover, one expects at least the electricity to be up all the time, especially from a property like Della. There were 3 power cuts in 12 hours.
Overall, we were crestfallen and regretting our decision to stay here again. Not worth the price we paid!
