I picked this hotel because of the name, thinking it was closer to the Airport. It’s only about a 10 minute drive, but I was trying to get closer. The reason for the low rating is not having the central heating working. The manager brought a portable heater up, but it was quite cold in the shower room and it took a long time to get the room slightly warm. I ate a hamburger for dinner from the restaurant, the hamburger meat was terrible, quite chewy and grisly.

The property was suitable for our plans and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The property continues to go through refurbishment where we had to move rooms three times due to issues with windows and aircon, even the third room had issues with the aircon unit and TV but we’d given up by this point. The communal areas are fresh and use of the pool next door was also great for the kids.

Set in the awesome old buildings of Speke airport, this hotel is clean and tidy, with spacious rooms and all the facilities you might expect.

Terrible experience. There were people in the room close to mine making noise all the night, fighting with each other and smoking. Called the manager during the night who did not do too much. The noise kept going for all the night and it was very difficult to get some sleep. In the morning I went to the reception to complain again (I was not the only one to complain of course) and the receptionist told me to call the hotel later for a refund. The refund was also a joke. Never received. I was told to contact Expedia that would have then confirmed with them. All the experience was absolutely ridicolous and a waste of time. To avoid.

There aren't many hotels with aeroplanes and an airport fire truck parked outside. Service was fine, so gave five stars. If anything ran out at breakfast it was replaced straight away. Very happy with our stay, thanks.

The staff at this hotel are super friendly and helpful and they are very very happy to see dogs. They just couldn't do enough for us and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great quirky hotel with very friendly staff.
Wonderful, friendly and helpful service from all staff at the hotel. They helped with the unbearable heat by supplying fans and lots of iced flannels etc. Fantastic little hotel with old airplanes in the back area and great art deco design inside.

We got to the hotel quite late, The bedroom was very uncomfortable because the air condition had broken down. The fan provided was not cooling the room at all, sleeping was a nightmare, the temperature was about 30 degrees outside. my family and I was sweating in the bedroom.

Seriously suffering post-covid side effects. Understaffing led to issues with customer service and hotel cleanliness. Air con wasn't working and hadn't been for months. One staff member described behind the scenes as complete chaos.Alas, this was obvious. Crowne Plaza are meant to be in the premium class of IHG hotels but this most certainly was not. Customers need to be made aware of the limitations of the premises before booking a room. Could be a fabulous place but just isn't.

Disappointing and will not be staying here again!
Very disappointing stay, bar area dark and dingy, no aircon in rooms, room cooling system kept reverting back to 24/25 degrees! Window openings very small and didnt let much air in, so it is unbearable in warm weather! Not eco friendly...everything was plastic, wrapped in plastic, even the bread for toast in the breakfast bar. The breakfast was the most disappointing of all, nothing replenished, cheap produce, chaotic system for queueing for food, we gave up on breakfast and went elsewhere!

Tired hotel, felt almost closed down with very limited staffing even for a Friday night. Didn’t try the food but probably due to poor staffing tables were left uncleared and a buffet from lunch or early evening was left out, not very welcoming. Decent restaurants across the road at retail park or the gym next door. Rooms spacious and clean but told on booking the air-conditioning was broken, suspect for several months as we were informed there was a fan in the wardrobe. Windows locked shut. It made for a very very uncomfortable and hot nights sleep

Even though out the way a little (15-20min taxi ride - £16ish), the hotel is friendly, neat and tidy. Nice centre shop opposite, and use of the pool next door at the gym helped if you inclined.

It was a welcome surprise that this Crowne Plaza is set in such a beautiful historical building, and close to many good shops, restaurants and cinema. But mostly the staff were great! Super friendly and helpful. The covid-prevention measures in place are excellent. Missing it already.
