Television was not working. Arrived three hours prior to check in. Room was ready. Parking lot was empty other than three other cars. Only person in reception. Regular customer. Still chose to charge me an additional $30 for early check in. I stay in hotels over 100 nights per year. Very last time I'll use this hotel.

Would not return, room was passable but common areas old with strong cigarette smell in hallways. Buffet breakfast was cold, although coffee was decent. Area felt unsafe, homeless person sleeping on a bench just outside the entrance door while security guard sat inside at the front desk on his phone. Housekeeping only every three days so just cleaned the room once in our 4 night stay. Seems like a covid rule that is out dated. Could phone for fresh towels but kept forgetting when leaving in the mornings, so that's on me. Seemed to be lots of better choices in the area.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The hot breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay and will book it again next time we go to Edmonton.
