avoid this place at all cost
we checked out before the end of the first night as it was unbearable to stay there. there were random people drinking infront of our sea view cabin (that we paid extra for). when we complained to Management they didnt care at all. staff are rude. never again! avoid if you can

Excellent beach, excellent ambience with good accompaniment... the only thing is “PLEASE THROW AWAY the smelly n unclean TOWeLS!!! Worst than my house floor mat . Other than that, no complaints for wat we pay for

It’s is charmingly simple and economical. No frills without ugly big high rises. Close to a fun bar with friendly staff and most importantly the beach!

Terrible stay
Rooms were dirty when we first checked in. Bed sheets with stains, stained curtains, the bar plays loud music till 3am. Too expensive for a resort that is more of like a motel. Fan was not functioning leaving us with an air conditioner that blasted cold air despite us increasing the temperature. The toilet looks much better than the room itself. And OMG the swimming pool is so dirty.

Beach property Hotel with reasonable price
We love the location. Nice beach and easily to find food here. However it's a bit noisy at night since the bar guests normally walk through the property to go to the bar. Others are all OK.

Perfect location.
Literally steps from the beach. A small refrigerator was fantastic. The accommodations are very basic. Don’t expect anything more. They don’t take credit cards to pay for the room.

Very basic beachfront hotel
Although the location is great, being right on the beach in the heart of the resort, the hotel is very basic. Room is very basic with the bed pushed up against one wall due to a lack of space. The shower room is also basic with the shower soaking the entire bathroom each time it is used. No toiletties are provided apart from a small bar of soap. Furniture is old and bashed and my room door had lots of damage and gaps, allowing all sorts of wildlife to get into my room! No information was given on arrival, so had to go back to ask how to access Wi-Fi and have my non working TV sorted. Any requests were dealt with very grumpily and I never saw a smile from anyone manning the reception desk. Treated as an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Do be aware that it is right next to the liveliest bar in the resort, which closes at 1am and is noisy till after all their customers leave.

Beach bar and proximity to beach are excelleny
Hotel location is at the beginning of Cenang beach. You can easily walk out from Hotel and find lots of food and shops. For bars, best you walk along the beach. They are not so visible from the Main Street. Room is basic. Beach is great. You can rent a sun tan beach reclining seat with umbrella for RM10/day.

Good location
Room is good bed good aircon, toilet was clean as well, just the toilet door was spoilt. However, the location is good for those plan to or love to play water sport, the beach is just a minute of walking distance. But it is quite a long distance to SkyCab and Jetty.

Wet week in Langkawi
Had 4 days in Langkawi planning to lay on the beach. Unfortunately it rained the whole time. The room was cheap, clean and comfortable enough. Had aircon which was nice. Biggest plus was the hotel bar. Had a lot of fun with the friendly staff.

Nice hotel close by the beach.
The family room i've stayed in was close to the beach bar, therefore a bit noisy till midnight. The rooms were run down. But if you want a hotel near by the beach with value pricing this is a good choice .

Nice beach bungalows but....
Nice and clean basic bungalows, feets right on the sand. A feel of paradise during the day, turning to hell as the night comes. The rooms are just in the middle of one of the only beach bar, unless you are partying until 1am, don't expect to find any sleep or rest, you're tight under the boomer and the windows will shake. Then the morning comes and you're back to peace, with the morning swim just 50m away.

Employee at the beach bar was creepy and stood nearby our hotel room for quite awhile. Luckily we waited awhile before going home and also he stood and called us to come with him and we didnt and we just waited and asked someone there to go check it out

Towels were stained and stinky. Noise was unbearable until 2am as they have a bar right outside. Staff (Mali-mali Bar) were rude and unaccommodating. Housekeeping did less than a thorough job. Room was tiny. Water heater went off at times during the shower. Room came with one mug, we requested for another but it never arrived. Pool was tiny and dirty so that was a no go.

They look towards money than customers satisfaction. Cleaner is not friendly. Hotel Area is very good. it is adjacent to beach and close from all facilities. Breakfast is available in hotel in very early morning and dinner is available in some restaurants up to mid night. Night Parties in beach adjacent to hotel was amazing.

Close to the beach & almost everything
Motel is at beach side, so you no need to cross the road. Restaurant, food stall, massage, shop are all within walking distance. Oh also got pool there. I'm not into TV and WiFi so overall i am very satisfied!

Nice. Near to the beach. Walk out from your room door and you can see the beach already. Since its a single storey, so no stairs, great! Restaurants and food stalls also just can walk from the motel

Basic hotel but room with a magnificent view
After reading all the reviews on various booking sites and from travelers, I went to Mali Mali without high expectations. The resort is as I expected- basic, facilities that require maintenance, no housekeeping, uncomfortable bedding, etc. I spent most of my time outside the room hanging around at the balcony, which I feel very blessed for. I could see the sea and whenever I want to swim, I just walk down with my swimwear, dip in the refreshing sea and walk up to the room again. Cenang has many restaurants and bars but I was comfortable at the beach bar at the hotel. So generally, remember that you're paying for the view and beach accessibility and not some 5-star resort.
