It is clean and neat.
If there is a bottle of water in the room, It is perfect.
Because there is nothing in the room.
Only clean and comfortable
the room was nice , could have been bigger.
the parking was not worth paying since we still had to go around to get in our room.
the pricing on the coffee pot could have been better way over priced compared to the marriot suites.
the staff was super nice!
Just made a brief overnite stay. Reception desk was hidden behind a wall and some round tables that said "Register Here". Very large property with poor signage. Long walk and elevator ride from parking garage to hotel building. Then another elevator to the lobby and then up to the room. Reception said the room had been recently renovated. Hard to find the light switch in the main part of the room. Had to stumble over to a lamp and find the toggle switch. Remote on the TV did not change channels.
When I walked into the room at around 10PM the light was on and the sliding glass door was opened slightly. That was a really nice touch having had a long day to come into a softly lit, quiet room that had the clean smell of the ocean air. It was really nice.

The Estancia is our favorite, go to hotel when we need a little getaway. Living in San Diego, we have lots of hotels to choose from and always come back to Estancia. The staff is wonderful, but the facility is tucked away so we feel as if we truly got away, even though we are 15 minutes from our home - haha!
A contemporary hotel well located to the Shores area. Comfortable room and nice bathroom although the beds could be a bit firmer and the pillows impossible. May not sound important but it was extremely difficult to sleep with those silly little over worn pillows they provided. Not what one expects from a Kimpton property.
Just for overnight, but walking to restaurant and strolling along the cove were perfect combination...all without needing a car.
Expedia upgrade our room and we stayed in a suite with courtyard, a very private, quiet, and enchanting setting.
Spanish for “The Jewel,” La Jolla is 13 miles north of downtown San Diego. One of the country’s most affluent communities, La Jolla is known for its fine homes, wonderful beaches, wonderful restaurants, and stunning natural scenery. It is home to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the Stephen Birch Aquarium and Museum.
