"This is definitely the place to stay when visiting Kusadasi or Efes. The hospitality, the authenticity, the rooms, the food...all superb! I can't rave enough about it. This place is breath-taking. As soon as we got there, we booked an extra night to thoroughly enjoy this romantic, retreat-like paradise. ..."

"3 günlük tatilde dinlenmek için geldik, daha yorgun bir şekilde dönüyoruz. Kesinlikle önermiyorum. Saçma sapan bir futbol turnuvası düzenleyerek, kaldıramayacakları bir kalabalığı almışlar. Hiçbir Covid önlemi de alınmamış. Açık büfede birbirinin içine giren mi dersin, maçtan çıkıp maç şortuyla havuza ..."
"Friendly staff, nice room. Lots of children when we were there so pool quite crowded. Limited choice in food although plenty of it. Sea warm and shallow so v safe for children. Taxi ride or dolmas needed to get into Kusadasi."

"What a location! Right in front of the Aegean Sea with a spectacular view of the sunset. The pool patio on top is a perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of restaurants around the area and a taxi stand next door was convenient. Our daily tours picked us up right from the hotel. "

"Overall, this is a nice place, but it may surprise people who are used to cushy hotels.
It seems the Korumar is designed to suit Germans. There were Germans everywhere. It's set up for orderly tourists who don't mind Spartan facilities and like to have things planned.
Our standard double room was half the size of our rooms in Istanbul. The "double bed" was two twin beds jammed together. There was only one sheet on the bed, and the spread was a small cotton blanket with holes woven into it. My wife was aghast and demanded two more blankets.
The hotel had one soap dispenser on the wall by the sink, and there was another on the shower wall. Our dispenser was empty, and it also fell off the wall, but the Korumar sent help immediately when we reported it.
The buffet food was institutional, like the food in a college dining hall in America.
The dinner items were acceptable; they kept us alive. The desserts were better than everything else. The impression I got was that budget-minded Germans went to the hotel for food that was inexpensive and abundant, and they weren't concerned about the taste.
At night, we heard drunks talking and laughing loudly on nearby balconies.
The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. If you need local information, they will provide it with a smile.
If you don't mind a little austerity and food that may remind you of your military service, the Korumar will make you happy, as I was. My wife, however, says she will never go back."

"This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in my life. I don't know where to even begin...
- We arrived at 11 PM, my reservation fully paid upfront, with proof. The aggressive hotel manager insisted that I had to pay it again, for some reason. When asked, "there's clearly a mistake, can we sleep now and sort this tomorrow?", the answer was a curt "no". Despite showing him receipts, he mansplained me I was wrong and had to pay it again. I was kept waiting for an hour for a reservation I'd already paid SO THAT I COULD SAVE TIME AT CHECK-IN AS I ARRIVE LATE & TIRED.
- When we finally accessed our rooms, another huge disappointment strikes: The room had nothing in common with what we booked. We booked a one-bedroom suite, and was presented a grubby, poorly-lit room that looked like a hospital ward. We demanded a change, but was told that the rooms we booked weren't available and we couldn't be moved. I guess sending a janitor for a few hours and preparing it would require too much thinking and planning.
- The food situation was IMMENSELY stressful. On an average day, you'll spend TWO HOURS waiting in the queue to get food. Terrible people flow management and planning. No COVID-19 precautions. Long queues in front of buffets indoors with badly-behaved guests elbowing you and coughing into your neck. Not acceptable outside a pandemic, but now, it should be criminal. Not to mention the food quality was appalling
- Non-existent hygiene standards. Absolutely gross."
