Nice convenient location at a fair price.
It was a return visit to this hotel. They have changed the restaurant, finished much of the building and continue to staff very nice people. We did have issues with our refrigerator and television not functioning properly and they were up there within 20 minutes with someone to address both. The TV wasn't resolved and they offered to have us switch to another room, but we were leaving in another day, so it didn't seem to be worth the bother.

To quote Bette Davis, “What a dump!” Do not stay here. My room stank of cigarettes. When I called the front desk about it, they sent a maid to spray my room. All that did was make my floor slippery. I went down to the front desk and asked to be moved. They moved me on the same floor but 2 doors down. That room was worse. There are several autobody shops nearby and that was part of the stench. They are renovating and there was nonstop construction noise during the day. The bed was a nightmare. I was like sleeping on a board. The towels were old and frayed. They walls looked like the last time they saw paint was in the 1960s. The area around the hotel is industrial which also accounts for the smell.

Quiet location, near to where I want to go. Big food court nearby within walking distance. Good bathroom. Very basic furnishing, small room - no fridge, no sideboard to put luggage on

the smoking smell did pass from the next door to my toilet. hope can totally seperate smoking room and non- smoking room.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your reviews and providing us with feedback from your stay. First and foremost, I am very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience here at 56 Hotel. We take all complaints very seriously, and I want to assure you that we have procedures and standards in place to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests. In our hotel, we do accommodate 2 specific floors for smoking rooms. In other floors, it is quite hard for us to making sure the guest follows the rules for nonsmoking room. Despite of that, we did take extra measures to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible by making sure before you enter the room, we spray the room with room deodorizer and followed by room air freshener. Once again, on behalf of the Management of 56 Hotel, we would like to apologize for this issue and we will try our best to rectify it. Best Regard.

Wow, it was an amazing stay.
It was an amazing stay. Newly developed with vibrant and fresh interior. Spacious room equipped with modern ammenities. Good variety of delicious local and weatern breakfast. Friendly staffs and quite neighbourhood. Walking distance to nearby eateries, convenient store and mall. Located at the heart of commercial area and 10 minutes drive to the city center, it is a good alternative to business traveller as well as leisure seeker. Highly recommended.

The bed should be king size instead the bed just a combination of two single bed. Got dark stains at the bed. No refrigerator provided in the room. toilet bowl not clean.

Near KIA which is convenient. The only problem would be the wifi connection. Hard to get the wifi in the room but the speed is faster when seated outside the room Overall room was nice, staff is welcoming

Strategic location for Kuching South City
Nice place to stay with very reasonable rate but few conditions need to improve. Shower and some frame are rusty. TV channels are always out due to signal issue.

Cant comment much because checked in at almost 9 pm and checked out at about 8.30 am the next day. Overall, pleasant stay with breakfast at reasonable price. Did not explore the place well due to limited time but saw a supermarket nearby when the taxi passed by.

Friendly staff and plenty of parking lots. Near to 3 shopping malls - City One (10 minutes' walk); The Spring (5 minutes' drive) and Viva City (5 minutes' drive). :))))
