I would avoid this property if they are having any wedding functions. Loud music (including very loud drums) kept going till 130am, despite residents complaints. After that there was a sort of all night party by a fire which was right by our bedroom window. I have no problem with hotels having exciting and glamorous weddings, however one expects an international chain like Fairmont to enforce a strict 11pm curfew, plus it would have been relatively easy in such a large hotel to have the all night party away from guest rooms.

hygiene was a big issue - the baby chair had food all over it. the seat cloth had stains that must have been there for ages and was never washed. The baby cot, blanket and pillow was so dirty, the pillow was in bad shape- the filling inside had become like a ball- we were shocked.

Unfortunate Experience
As the hotel is outside of Jaipur getting to the city can be time consuming with traffic. We also had a very unpleasant experience with Uber so transport to and from the hotel is difficult. You end up having no choice but to book the hotel taxis which are around 10 times the regular price which was fine however the driver made us uncomfortable by persistently trying to get us to book him privately and leave 5 star reviews. The hotel grounds and rooms are beautiful. I really wanted to give this place a 5 star however unfortunately our 3 night stay was not great. Check-in process was quick and pleasant. Check-out was very poorly managed. I was told as a member of Fairmount there would be reduced bills for food and beverage. This was not reflected at check out and we ended up paying full price. Furthermore they failed to book our airport transfer which added an additional 45min delay. The bar and pool staff were varied. One evening our drinks were delayed by 40 mins and I could see the staff behind the bar were distracted and not actually making our cocktails. The security guy at the pool kept staring at all the guests which was uncomfortable. The concierge team were probably the worst. They couldn’t tell me about any of the attractions or shopping in the city or where I could buy local craft. There was a young guy in a turban who just gave me a blank stare. We came to Fairmont expecting a certain standard. Our stay was definitely not up to the mark. Staff was extremely rude, one person even felt ashamed of talking in Hindi? Last I checked, this resort exists in India. Absolutely condescending behaviour! The dryer in the room was not working, not replaced. The lotion bottle had shampoo in it instead. Water was cold after one shower. Overall, the property itself is breathtaking but the staff as well as amenities are not worth it at all. Absolutely disappointing! With great name, also comes responsibility and a certain standard of quality, which this resort is definitely lacking. Much rather spend your money on a quality experience at The Leela Palace or Devi Ratn, do not waste your money here.

My overall experience at Fairmont Jaipur was disappointing. From the first step- there was no welcome drink, even no water was provided on request. It took staff more than one hour to have our room ready even though we arrived after 4pm. Cleanliness at the property was above average and they try to mask it with overpowering fragrances across the property. The type of rooms and level of cleanliness they had was not what you expect from a 5-star hotel with a reputation. Room service was too slow. I would recommend anyone visiting Jaipur to consider other options as this Fairmont location won’t provide you the experience you would expect.

We were here for my brothers wedding. We had booked three rooms from Expedia. Apparently this was very confusing for the staff. They tried to charge use twice for the rooms. In fact they did charge it twice - charged my brother while he was checking out after I had already paid for therooms. They try to use the smoke of checking out large groups to deceive you. Beware. Look at your invoice. Keep copies.

Absolutely stunning hotel and views. Rooms were beautiful and there was royal, Rajasthani treatment. The one thing we didn't like was that we went downstairs for a drink and we asked the server to bill the hotel room. We headed out shortly after and another server chased after us asking if we paid and when we told him we had already provided our room number, he asked for it again. We didn't appreciate being a 5-star hotel and being treated like we would dine and dash. That was embarrassing. The servers need to work with each other and communicate who is helping which client and if payment has been taken care of ahead of time.

Beautiful and well-maintained hotel
We spent just one night at this hotel and really liked the service, staff attitude and food. We were a little disappointed to learn that the pool was under maintenance after we had made a reservation but to be fair, the hotel emailed us right after the reservation was made. The hotel common areas as well as the rooms are very well maintained and the rooms & bathrooms very spacious.

Excellent hotel with quality service
Our experience was excellent. Very good hotel, spacious room and they upgraded us to Fairmont gold which had quite a few free services. V friendly and knowledgeable staff. Laundry was cleaned and delivered before time, food was delicious with many varieties and the hotel was outstanding. Felt like staying in an actual palace. I would specifically thank the following staff, Aman at the concierge who guided us everyday and was soft spoken and friendly, shahrukh who delivered my laundry everyday and Nahid in the reception area was v talkative and friendly. I would love to come back. We were welcomed with music every time.

Had lot of expectation but very Disappointed
A couple of big corporate groups had reserved the hotel, so all the attention of staff was with them. Personal guests weren’t getting much such as welcome was very ordinary, room was not ready even at 5pm, I booked a poolside room but construction was going on all the time to prepare the stage for the incoming corporate guests

hotel front desk manager is inept .. he took our passports for 30 minutes to register at the slowest time of day. got lousy room overlooking some walls when hotel was completely empty. food was stale at breakfast, pastries reused over several days. monkeys on dining room tables outside, shooed away, utensils never replaced by waiters. lots of staff, though they did not know what they were supposed to be doing. cheap labor

Will try to overcharge if they can , examine your bill carefully
