New hotel with spacious rooms and awesome staff. We enjoyed our stay a lot and definitely recommend this place. Just note that the area shuts down by 10 and few to no places remain open afterwards at all. All great aside from that.

I had a fantastic view of the Blue Mosque and Bosporus from my window. The value of the overall situation makes me glad that I overlooked prior negative reviews of the property. You have to go with the flow especially if the price is right. So I was not bothered by the broken toilet handle when I could walk to all the Old City sights in less tha 10 minutes.

You get what you pay for
The view was great! We had a view of a mosque and the ocean in the distance so that was nice! However, the room did not seem like it was cleaned. The sheets had stains all over them, the comforter they gave us was tiny, and we weren’t given any sheets other than one laying on top of the mattress. The toilet paper also had some small bugs on it so we did not feel comfortable using it.

We ask for extra 2 pillow but our 14 nights stay did nit provide. Bathroon not good dirty. In breakfast ask for omelet they do 2 days & then stop. 2 young stuff in reception always on mobile phone, not giving attention to work.

In the Heart of the Happening
The room and bathroom is small but clean. But all we were looking for was a place close to the happening so we could in a short time (2 days) get to know Istanbul A BIT (not that this is ever possible especially not in two days :-) ) . This is in a five minute walk to the tram station - the best way to getting around in the Old City and beyond (we find). In 10 min walking distance from the Aya Sofya and the 'Blue Mosque' as well as other attractions i.e. the Cisterns and the Grand Bazaar. The breakfast was good with a good variety and a FANTASTIC view over the water and parts of the city - WOW!

Don't let the old city put you off .Very nice hotel,clean and staffs are very kind.The location of blue mosque is very good,it's about 15-20 mins walk.The grand bazzar is also the same amount of time as the blue mosque.

The service and the staff at old city sultanahmet hotel was incredible. They were super nice. I arrived at the hotel 7 in the morning and I found my room ready and they also gave me breakfast which was not paid at the reservation. they also called us 5 a.m to wake us up to go to the airport and they offered coffee. everyday, they give us information about how and where to go and they gave us their private number so we can call them any time when we are outside for help. I highly recommend it.

Cheap place in great location
It is a good, little hotel in a great location and cheap. Very limited room service, basically you get new towels every day but nothing else done. Free breakfast, not too bad, and a great view from the roof terrace. The room was small and the WiFi was bad, but I would stay there again.

Cheap hotel with hygiene issues!
Cheap hotel close to the main sights in Sultanahmet and the hotel has a very nice terrace, on the top floor with nice view on the sea. But... Cleaning was done maybe once every 3 days. Dust was collecting under the furnitures. WiFi not working in the room most of the time. And animals (rats? mices?) could be heard at night in the ceilings... Major hygiene issue!! (At the moment thw hotel faces a construction site and is also pretty noisy)

The service at the hotel is amazing. Someone is always at the front desk to help you. Mustafa is very nice and helpful. I checked out but my flight was at 9 and wanted to spend a bit more time in Istanbul so they watched over my things for me (thanks guys!). My things were really heavy and they helped me carry it all to my taxi when it was time to leave. The hotel has an amazing view from the breakfast room upstairs. The hotel is within walking distance from every sight you need to see. THe Blue Mosque is only a 5 minute walk down the street. I never took a taxi once- I just walked.The hotel is a bit older and not so clean, but it is manageable and clean enough. I paid around $38 CAD when I went to Istanbul in May, so for the price I really wasn’t complaining at all, especially since I really only came back to the hotel to sleep at night. The wifi worked well. Overall I had a really good experience. Definitely a good hotel for travellers on a budget. Would consider staying again if I was in Istanbul.

Everything about the hotel was nice until the last day the receptionist charged us more than we expected. But anyway we thought we liked a lot of things in the hotel. But when we came back home, my credit card was charged again! And when we paid by cash at the reception, they didn't give us any receipt, just took the money. So, if you want to stay here, don't give them any details about your credit card and ask for your receipt every time you pay. I'm not sure now if I can have my money back because certainly there's no response to my letter from the hotel.

We were on the anex building that is like 8 min walking from the real hotel. Even though there is always someone there to help you. They dont accept credit cards you have to pay in cash. Breakfast costs 5 euros and it's served in another hotel that is just right across the street (buffet: eggs, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese, jam, cereals, fruits, coffee, tea, chocolate, artificial juice). 7 min walk to the bazar and Beyazit metro station and 15 - 20 min walk to Santa Sophias church and the Blue Mosque. It's easy to get there from the airport by metro. The street were the building is located felt unsafe at nights specially if you come from the bazar but nothing really happened. Nice shoes fabriques were you can get really cheap prices in this street. Water heating in the room...if you take a long shower the next person has to wait like half an hour until the water gets warm again. The staff is really helpful. Overall it was good, the only hotel near to everything that was affordable, but of course there are much better hotels if u pay more.

There were no rooms when we got there!
When we got to the hotel we were told that it was fully booked (we booked 5 rooms) and they offered alternative apartment accommodation (3 beds per apartment, open space!) We had to find alternative accommodation at 20:30 at night for 5 rooms, not a very nice experience.

Everything was very bad, information in the hotel.com is not the same thing your suppose to meet it. Building for suits are different and located in other apartment .internet was very slow and everything was rediciules.

Dirty disgusting hotel
This was a awful experience, the hotel was disgusting. The barroom ceiling was dripping of disgusting black water right over the shower, the towels were disgusting with staines (supposedly clean), and the breakfast was a couple of supermarket cookies and 2 vegetables. Ooh and they insisted on being paid in cash and didn't take my credit cards so had to go to ATM to withdraw money therefore being charged overseas ATM fees. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL !!

The hotel is very close to a tram stop and just a short walk away from many of Istanbul's historic sites. It features breakfast on the rooftop, which boasts a stunning view of the Sea of Marmara. My parents and I stayed in a triple room, which was relatively cramped but clean and comfortable. Finally, even though we (thought that we) paid for the reservation ahead of time online, the hotel insisted on receiving payment in cash upon departure. This is not a terrible burden, but it could lead to some confusion and inconvenience. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. It's internet site is quite misleading on several points: firstly unlike the pictures, the rooms are very cramped and still unfinished,holes around doors etc. secondly they advertised the use of Visa, but then would not allow us to pay with it.

Our room was noisy, dirty, unfinished and cramped. Visa credit card is not accepted here, but advertised as acceptable payment. This led to an embarrassing confrontation with management as we terminated our stay after one night. We found a much better hotel The Legend around the corner.
