The lady who looked after the reception was very helpful. Service was excellent. Of course the accommodation is very small, but that was to be expected for the price point of the room in hong Kong. Overall for the budget conscious traveller, I found it a great option.

Short Holiday in Hong Kong
Room was small “ Hong Kong size”. Clean, wifi good working. Good location. I would not recommend it for more than one night.

Great price for location and category.
It's a two-star hotel in Hong Kong, so don't expect much more than the basics. It's a collection of rooms in a residential area. But for the price, it's good in the category. Don't expect it to be a five-star hotel. Your expectation may be a bit high. I found the description to be accurate. It has a bed, small fridge, shower, toilet, TV, Air conditioning, tea kettle. There is room under the bed to store your luggage, but you'll need to place it on the bed to open it as the room is small. The bed in smallest room is big enough for one person. Two skinny people may be able to fit, but will be very cramped. The location is great. One-minute walk to Jordan MTR station to an unmarked exit from a shopping mall that connects to the station exit E. Plenty of restaurants and some grocery stores nearby. Airport express shuttle K1 is a short walk south of the location. Quick MTR ride to Central station. If doing laundry, you should allocate four hours for washing and drying a full load (4-5 days worth of clothes). The laundry room is not publicly accessible and you'll need to ask the owner to let you use it for a fee (50 HKD) For the price in crowded Hong Kong, it's a good location.

Clean, Quiet and Safe near Jordan
Rent-a-Room is a good choice for the budget minded traveler. The accommodations are extremely basic, but it is clean, safe and quiet. The person who checked me in was very nice and very helpful. The room was relatively large and had a refrigerator and good AC. The place is not like most budget hotels that are in high rises and you have to wait for the lift. It is in a garden environment and has a 24 hour watchman at the entrance. If you only need basic accommodations for a brief stay, this is a superior choice due to the size and comfort of the room, the security and how quiet it is. I have no problem recommending it as a good choice for the budget accommodation category.

Perfect location and grey little guest house
Room was a perfect base for my stay. Plenty of shops nearby, places to eat and the excellent train service. The room itself was plenty big enough and had all the facilities I needed. Free Wifi worked perfectly and no problems. Staff were very helpful and although you check out by 12 midday you can leave your bags in the reception area until you depart if you wish. I would come back here again.

Located near the Jordan MTR station Exit E. It may be a little difficult to find for the first time. Look for "Knight Garden" over the entrance off the street, then up a few steps, turn left and up the steps into the first building, reception at the top of the first flight on the left. Rooms are quite basic but things like hot water work. Staff is friendly.

Close to bus lines and subway. 2 minutes away. Safe hotel, clean and quiet. Better than most small hotels in Hong Kong. Window is a bonus. Internet didn't work for us for the three days.

Bring my 81 years old mother went to Lamma Island
Location is good, but not for old people and kids. Room is really too small,the double bed is only 4' not like normal 5',the 4' bed in other hotel is single bed. They change towel and even floor towel daily and mop the floor daily. For the price and the central area it's still OK for those young traveller who just need a place to rest and refresh themselves. Price all down after we were back to sin.

Fun stay! Great experience
There's alot of good food around the area especially on the other exit of the station. i have most of my breakfast at Mei Sun(?) Cafe. The staff there were very helpful and nice. The room size would be your typical hong kong room, it is a good experience. Comfortable bed and what you need is in the room. The lady will clean up the room daily and i really appreciate the effort she took. For those who are very particular about toilet, just so you know, the toilet is not very spacious (i am quite big) if you dont mind that, i would say go for it. We were lucky when the lady gave us a room with the heater so we can get our hot bath water immediately once we switched on the tap.

A smaller, yet quiet hotel in a good location
Stayed as a family of four while waiting for our connecting flight. This is one of the very small number of Hong Kong hotels in this area that provides rooms suitable for four while not charging an arm and a leg. It is located in one block from Jordan station. Yet not directly on Nathan or Jordan street, and in addition to that in a gated compound with 24x7 guard - very safe and quiet by Hong Kong standards.

Best location and good price
I stayed one night in rent a room knowing that Hong Kong is expensive in the most touristic part (Nathan Road) near the peninsula. I was just passing the night so I decided that is has to be something cheap but near the best attractions of the city. The room was very little but this is common in HK. The difference with the others hostels was that here everything is clean and the owners of the building are so cool and helpful whenever you want to know something about the city and how to move there and that's the real value of this hostel.

Rooms are horrible.
I was asked come back after a hour as the rooms were not cleaned up. Room are pathetic, not all worth for the money. Bed sheet were stinking, could not get a good sleep. Beds were not soft. Rooms are very tiny and very uncomfortable. AC makes lots of noise, as its old, also you can't control the temperature (manger of the hotel told me not to control the temperature as its old and might not work) Bathroom sucks, there is no proper shower. Water heater runs out of hot water in 2-3 minutes (need to turn on for 15 mins to get it hot and it don't serve your complete bathing time). Both the old lady and man talks very nice, but thats the only thing they can do I guess.

The ratings arent very fair for Rent-a-room isnt exactly a hotel to begin with. (Rented apartments) It offers weary travellers a basic (and small) place to stay and the unique Hong Kong style of living in a shoebox. Inside the room, the basic facilities are all there - clean rooms, hot showers, TV, airconditioning, fridge, daily room service, table, chair and hot water right outside the room. The only fault i can pick is that the fresh bedsheets had some grey stains on them but not significant enough to bother us. MTR is within a 1min walk away, plenty of 7-11's around and the famous Temple Street is within walking distance. Heck, you can talk around to Tsim Sha Tsui, Victoria Harbor and Kowloon if you are in the mood (which we did). There are some great cafes around the place too! Mido Cafe, Australian Diary Co. etc. You will find yourself spending more time outside than

It was very convenient because it is located 1 block away from transportation system. It is not expensive, and not comfortable, but clean. People were very kind and helpful, willing to give information about other things related to the city.

Cold tiny clean room in old building
Room was self-sufficient but tiny and cold in December. I cheated and used the hair-dryer to heat up the tiny room. It did a decent job! The safe can hold a laptop and camera. The bed is hard. The building is old but the staff is nice and helpful. There are a few restaurants next door, and this is right next to the main shopping street, with lots of tourists. The subway station is nearby.

The worst room I have ever stayed!
Not at all matching with the description mentioned by them. I couldnot find any facilities inside the room, washroom everythings were located outside the room. Even I could not close the door unless I put my luggage onto the bed. I have to put the lugguage behind the door then I could get onto the bed.

Comfortable stay for a few nights
Our 11.30pm arrival wasn't a problem and the staff were courteous. This was a repeat visit - the rooms are clean and attended to daily, the in-room safe provides extra security. The rooms are small but larger than some of the cheaper ones on offer - I stayed with my 7 year old daughter and we were perfectly comfortable (I am 6 foot 1). Our room had air con, a fridge, tv, ensuite so was perfect for a couple of nights stay.

Pleasant, family friendly stay in HK
Staff were very helpful and polite, the room was pleasant and suited our needs (I was travelling with my 7 year old daughter). The in-room safe provided piece of mind during the daily room cleans. The shower had plentiful hot water. While the room is not overly spacious, it measures a lot larger than some of the other 2 star accommodations and didn't feel cramped during our 2 day - 2 night stay (we had two single beds and our own en-suite). The staff were happy with a 7.30am check-out and gave us a wake up call. Our bags were left at reception until 5pm the same day with no further charge or hassle.

A good place for a short stay.
This guest house is very good value for money and is conveniently located in the center of Kowloon. The staff are friendly, helpful and some of them speak English. A weak point for me was the size of the room and bathroom. Although they managed to squeeze in everything you need including a safe, a kitchen sink and a table, calling it a double room stretches the meaning of the word "double" and if you are a tall person or there are two of you, you might be in for some uncomfortable nights.

A little disappointed with room and bed. I booked a single room with 2 double beds. The bed is like a big single bed not a double bed. The width of the bed is exactly the length of two pillows side by side no additional space . No space to turn about. There is no signboard showing Rent a Room Hotel . Surrounding neighborhood is good very near to all the popular shopping.

Overview
The hotel was in a good location, and was in walking distance of many tourist attractions. The price for this hotel is middle of the road, higher than a basic hostel but cheaper than most hotels. This hotel is comfortable for student/single travelers as it size is similar to what you would find on a cruise ship. You will have to place your bag underneath the bed to give yourself walking room. Security: Double locking doors at the end of each hallway that lead to the outside. A security guard is on duty near the main street entrance + security cameras monitor the property.

Very clean and affordable room. Not very spacious and the air conditioning was rather loud, but it is in a very convenient location (even though the hotel itself is rather difficult to find). Very easy access to the metro system and Hong Kong Island as a result. Definitely a good option for budget travellers or short term single or coupled tourists.
